Hey everyone,

I’m running a print on demand store. I got unique designs from Upwork and am running PPE ads.

I’m getting a lot of comments and shares but nobody’s clicking, let alone buying.

Do you think the product is a dud? I’ve noticed that a lot of engagement is from older people (55+). Do older people just not shop online? Haha

Thanks

I have a $0.02-0.03 per engagement. In one day 400-500 reactions, 50 shares, and a number of comments. I’m spending $15/day.

But no link clicks. Should I convert to a purchase campaign or is the 0 link click a sign that the product is no good?

I’m targeting USA only, so I feel like it’s definitely high quality engagement. People commenting “I need this”

Thanks

Check your links and tracking. That's is not possible that you have 0 clicks. If there is loads of engagement, there must be clicks.

I tested the link and it seems to be working. Is it possible that FB is not tracking the link clicks properly?

I run CURRENTLY 18 accounts, my normal is 40-50 accounts per month in terms of volumes and I have never seen facebook not tracking properly.

Check your ad copy, maybe you submitted PPE campaign without a link, so there is just image. Or, create a new campaign and add ''Call to action'' button - you can do that under forth tab when editing/creating ad in quick creation method. It's like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/odr27K1R1F ''call to action''

Other thing you could check is banned domain. Sometimes facebook bans domain without actually telling you. it hasn't happened for me for some time, but you never know. To check this, take your link and try sending it to your friend via fb messenger, if it doesn't say anything, it's not banned. Banned domains generally get message like this: https://www.screencast.com/t/odr27K1R1F this is old template of this warning, but this is how you check your domain.

There must be some mistake when people actually telling ''i want this'' and getting 0 clicks.

Thanks, I didn't have any link in the ad, but I did have a Call to Action button that linked to the site. That button and link seems to be working, so I'm really not sure what's going on.

Do you recommend putting the link in the ad post as well as the Call to Action button. I was wondering if that looked spammy. Was thinking about testing it, have you experimented with this before? Thanks

I'm always adding a link in my ad post like "Order Yours From Here". Try to segment your ads by age and gender. Just spilt test them with lower budgets. You will see who are the most engaged and after that you can move to WC ads and also some retargeting ads. You need to run the test for at least 24-48 hours to get an idea.

If you don't have any or at least 10-15 clicks and 1-2 sells it could be a design problem, but it's not possible to tell you without seeing your design.

it's rare when PPE brings sales!!
PPE job is to bring u interaction and engagement ( likes/ comments/ shares)
I would suggest to start with Add to Cart conversion!! it's working. and Let us know^^

@ilais sometimes PPE is doing wonders for me. Last week I had around 80 sells from $10 ads. So you never know, but you are right that if you want to scale you should move to conversation ads (atc and purchase).

Start retargeting campaign with less budget and waiting some days

Thanks. I tried the messenger test and was definitely getting a strange error. I started to contact support, but then I tried again and it was working. So I’m not sure if it was actually blocked or not.

Anyway, I switched to a conversion campaign today spending only $5. Again great engagement, but this time I got 3 link clicks as well.

I will let it ride for a bit and see how it goes. In the meantime I am testing more designs.

Thanks again for your suggestions!
