I bought a domain but after checking, I found out there are like 1.3k links from 103 domains as per Ahrefs...Does this still affect me? do I need to disavow?

I am sorry I'm a newbie who got sucked in with all the hype and I may have a domain that might be a time and money sink from the get-go. Please help this stupid newbie with suggestions. i do not have anyone else to turn to.

Yes, it still effects. That's the point of an expired domain.

I think they are spammy links, since the tags are like tickets and even viagra. I bought it before I did my research which was stupid of me. Anything you can share with me?

In that case, it won't work. Because all links are harmful :(

You don not need to disavow unless there are links to disavow.

Is it true that it still affects rankings? I thought some seo youtubers said that these links dont really affect but of course they may be wrong. i do not wnat to be scammed again XD

You need to see, what type of links those are. There are 1.3K link from 130 unique domain does not mean that they are spammy. They could be all worth and clean. You should look into it through majestic/ahref. A single link on sidebar or footer could be the reason for this and they may be a genuine link. So do not disavow them unless then are bad links.

The thing is with expired domains with a bunch of spammy links is that they will rank over time. I have bought several expired domains with a lot of spammy links. What I do is add a few articles of good content submit those article to socials and wait, eventually they will begin to rank. Now, if you are planning on ranking it immediately you are probably looking for something that has not been spammed as much.

Oh okay. When I ran an AHREF report about the anchor text its jsut the domain plus 1 stray anchor tet, Schwarzenneger". the weird thing is that it is expired but has received some more backlinks(!) with me without doing anything

Do you recreate the old articles or use 100 unique articles and how many articles do you add?

Thats why people typically purchase expired domains for the already existing backlinks, the aged factor, potential free traffic etc. You can always buy another domain or try to sell the that one you purchase to another buyer.
