Yeah lol. I also have a 1 word .io domain & I'm holding for eternity..

On that note and within the constraints of this thread. I've been wondering..

I have a 3 character (***.co) domain. The .com is in possession by a government entity for the purpose of redirecting to their main site, so I was thinking the .co would be valuable too, possibly for something like a url shortener for social media. I would normally hold the shit out of it, but the phrase is trademarked by the government entity so I thought of selling it to them. But since it's trademarked I was wondering if they can just claim they own the rights to the phrase & I may be obliged to give it to them at no cost. I don't really know shit about the legal side lol..

They are making trade deals in billions of £ & I'm thinking WTF if it's legally possible, I could probably sell this for a good ass sum, considering I registered it for like £6-8, I can't remember the exact figure. I've been searching online for months, but can't find anyone who's been in my situation..

it is a good name. i would keep it, i regret my .io drops these days...

edit: btw write it as "squat dot io".

Typing squat in google, the top of search resuls is only about the squatting exercise performed at the gym. And as you probably know, squatting is one of the main exercises in body builing. So you can try to rank with it, then promote either gym(s), gym (info) products, etc.

Alternatively you can also promote this.

Hahaha, that is a good alternative actually, a high tech squat toilet would be good :D

Might be worth some decent money if the right buyer comes along.

If it has a strong domain authority you can sell links on sponsored articles on this website that is one way to monetize

...So you can try to rank with it, ...

how much time it takes for a brand new website to show up in the first page result on google search ? ( sorry for this dumb question i know it depand on the keyword and competitors) but let's say i have an arabic keyword and has +50k search per week .

thank you

Yeah, if they really wanted to, they could claim it solely due to a trademark violation and they wouldn't even ask you to give it to them, they would just take it from you.

io Domains for websites with "Fork me on Github" Badge. Not a good fit for non-tech related websites or Startups

probably low $xxxx figure, .io's sell for a lot especially single English brandable words.

Check out namebio.com and compare the comps.

Cool domain for a fitness tech company/fitness startups

you can check google for site value. The name might have value even if it doesnt have traffic

Since .io is gaining traction and squat is a unique word, I will hold on to it. But be wary of the registration fees.

Yeh I'd defo keep it. As a developer I can tell you .io is really trendy these days. Would be a great bodybuilding app domain or something.
