Most Underrated SEO Tactic - IFTTT SEO

I created a spreadsheet today that shows the Page Authority of all 26 of my new properties (in one ring).

The PA is insanely good for about 15 of the properties. For Pinterest, the PA on MY Pinterest is 94. Not the Pinterest domain--my new Pinterest that I created today. It's 94. That is insanely high.

The PA is abysmal for about 4 of the properties (Weebly, WP, Tumblr, and Blogger).
The PA is N/A for two of them (G Drive and Bit.ly).

My goal was to discover which 20% produce 80% of the power. This way, when I'm building the personas, I can focus on just 5 or 10 of the properties and spend 80% less time, and only lose out on 10% of the power.

Since adding just one property takes more than one unit more of time (because you also have to add it as a Profile Link in every other property) this is not linear, it's geometric.

HOWEVER, I did some more digging. The top ten pages with the highest PA were also pages that offered only no-follow links.

And the weakest sites offer do-follow links.

It took me hours today searching for the sweet spot.
There is definitely a sweet spot...

There are FIVE sites that have BOTH high page authority AND give us do-follow.
They are not the highest PA of all, but they are the highest with do-follow.

I'll give you a hint...the top two sites were NOT in the sample report previously posted (and subsequently removed).

I love the spreadsheet (and am using it now to build personas), but I have no idea why he left out those two properties. Would've been better to discard the bottom ten than to discard those two.

so let me get this straight, the people working on these rings and helped answer some of your questions and also put you on to IFTTT even gave you a document file to spreadsheet to look at, then you start commenting on trying to have someone buy the $200 syndication package and share with YOU the ideas and the properties of Benners ideas that he's supposedly hiding, but now someone asks you for something and you start playing guessing games with him :suspicious:

You should really answer the question that was asked, as you had all your questions answered. just sayin....
 
Every one of the "top ten" PA sites are no-follow. Pinterest is by far the strongest in terms of metrics, coming in at 94 PA. The links are no-follow, which carry less ranking weight (if any), but still worth getting so that your NF/DF link distribution seems more natural.

There are SIX sites that have BOTH high page authority AND give us do-follow.
They are not the highest PA of all, but of all the sites that give us DF links, they are the highest PA (not including Pinboard, which at $11/yr is PA 32...but even if we include Pinboard, it still isn't one of the following top six).

These are the six sites:

  • OneNote 44
  • Medium 44
  • Diigo 41
  • About 41
  • Evernote 41
  • IFTTT 37

Tumblr gives us DF links, but its PA is 5. That's the PA our new pages carry.
Maybe their PA will bump up after a few weeks since other stronger sites are linking to the Tumblr; but why not just have the stronger sites link directly to our money site?

I suppose the answer is that a couple of the stronger PA DF sites (like IFTTT and Medium) give us only one link. If you have only one money site landing page, you could skip Tumblr and put your $ page as the link on your IFTTT and Medium profiles.

But if you have, say, three landing pages you want to rank, you could put your Tumblr link on your Medium profile page and IFTTT profile page. Then the juice will pass to your Tumblr, and on your Tumblr you can post as many DF links as you want (your $ pages).

The highest PA pages overall (DF or NF) are:

  • Twitter 59
  • Facebook 58
  • G+ 55 (both the profile and page have the same PA)

I was not able to get any measurement on G Drive or Bitly (it's obvious why for Bitly).

My brain tells me that there is no need to use Blogger, Wordpress, or Weebly. Unless I'm forgetting something, Tumblr provides everything that Blogger, WP, and Weebly provide, but Tumblr's PA of 5 is much higher than the other three.

You could even discard Tumblr, and use Pinboard instead.
Both are DF. Tumblr is PA 5, and Pinboard is PA 32.

If the PA measurement is linear, then Pinboard is 5 times more powerful.
If it is logarithmic (which I think it is...it is for Ahrefs metrics, not sure for Moz),
then it's way more than 5 times more powerful.

P.S. The PA noted above is for my brand new pages. I also tested it on two other IFTTT rings, new and old (a BHW friend's new ring, and I think I tested the old sample report), and the PA is the same for all.

In other words, when you create a new profile for any of the sites above, your PA will be the same as the numbers above.

thanks for the share. one thing about blogger, wordpress and weebly, is that you could easily IFTTT to them through RSS to death and you would have to worry about them getting deleted. also, they provide do-follow links. so with a little work you could increase their PA.

Also, how do you get a backlink from IFTTT?!

Good question...

1. When logged into IFTTT, click your username in the upper right corner.
2. From the dropdown, click Settings
3. Now you're on Account Settings page. First thing you'll see is "Profile." Under that, click Change profile service.
4. Now if you change it to Twitter, your IFTTT profile (ifttt.com/p/yourusername), will have your Twitter description there and a DF link to your Twitter.
 
Today I noticed it's not possible to view a Tumblr profile without being logged into Tumblr. Does Google count those links posted to Tumblr since they are not public?

you dont need to worry about tumblr profile ... you just need to include your links in the description area of the tumblr page that you create. These are do follow links!
 
what about onenote? what is the point of that? i mean its basically like a notebook, so what would i use that for and how can i get any PA from that? should i copy and paste a link to 1 of my social media profiles or maybe a blog site? as if it was part of my notes?

Another thing is i ended up paying the $11 for pinboard since it had high authority and basically its just a bookmark, so you just add all your URLS of your persona profile ex: twitter.com/@username
instagram.com/@username
medium.com/@username
etc...

But i could of just done that with gravatar or another high authority bookmark, but let me ask you this, i started a youtube channel several days ago, and i did a "how to video" i can basically start buying some views, likes, and comments

i just wanted to know if anyone knows how far can i go with that, ex on day 1 how many views should i drop feed or comments should i make? i know theres a certain max that i can go.

Of all the sites that give us DF links, Onenote gives you the highest PA.
Your brand new Onenote will have PA 44.
Pinboard gives you DF links too, and it is PA 32.

You can put as many DF links as you want.

In short, if you had to choose just one site, if you had to, Onenote is the most powerful of them all.

Yep, thanks got that part.... but, what exactly am i doing in Onenote? am i just posting all my social media accounts URL's on there? i dont get it? for example Pinboard.in i basically looked at the site, its nothing but just a bookmark site, so what i did was added 3 url's that i have created for the "branded ring" 1 of them is the URL to the medium.com page that i wrote an article on, 1 is to my twitter account url and the last one is to my wordpress.com blog which is the same as the medium blog but i just spun the content, is that whats supposed to be done on a high authority PA bookmark site?

ex. trying to push my blog content out possible?
 
What I did was, after posting seed content to Onenote,
then I posted links to my "money pages."
I didn't post any links to the other sites in my ring.
