How to Create Interesting Titles That Grab Attention

I am a veteran content writer. However, I still get brain-blocks when thinking of new titles for my posts. Titles that would really grab attention. Not talking about generic titles such as 11 steps to blah blah blah.
I already know that adding a number and an emotional buzzword is great.

Any new suggestions to create interesting titles for posts are welcome.

Interested to know what you guys do to create awesome titles.

I usually just try to start off with
How...
When...
Secret Revealed! ...

Instructional start + Emotional middle part = Winning formula for a title
And so on. You've got to grab their attention in the first second, the rest of the title isn't as important in my experience.
 
Problem solving usually works great, that is if there's anything to solve in the first place.
Helps a lot if you've got a specific target audience. That would allow for you to research them thoroughly and create content specially for their eyes.
E-mail marketing. Well known marketers are using some great attention grabbing methods in their e-mail titles. Give those a look.
 
There was a website that had a lot of examples on how to write cb articles.but i vant remember for the moment. Try to kw search it in google...
 
This applies to some topics. Think about the polar opposite of your audience and "trigger" your audience with this.

If you're writing for a Christian audience, include the word "atheist" in the title.

"Atheists hate it when Christians do this.."

If you're writing for PlayStation audience, include the word "Xbox" in the title.

"3 reasons why Xbox is better than PlayStation"

If you're writing for a BHW audience, include the "WF" in the title.

"God of SEO explains why WF is better than BHW"

Obviously every title can't be like this, or else your audience would leave you. This type of article is good to sprinkle in from time to time for massive clicks AND discussion.

Michael Cheney and Ben Adkins both know how to write email titles that grab attention.
I learn from them, from their emails.

The best way to get attention is to add an intrigue: pattern interrupts, anything strange (strange things, events, people), oxymorons and paradoxes, etc.
Lateral thinking: try to combine two random/unrelated ideas. Just an exercise.

Add direct or indirect promise of: fun and/or value
 
Using templates is the most guaranteed way of creating successful headlines.
 
Clickbaiting a title works well.
How to, top 10, best under, best 10 are some option.
