question about shopify

Hello, i have found an item that has low competition. I sell it on etsy and ebay and i get a lot of orders. I want to move to shopify and try facebook ads.

What do i need to promote it except shopify and facebook ads? Do i have to create a facebook page with lots of likes???

Can an experience seller tell me the steps to promote it?

If you can find a video and edit it to make it like a commercial.. you can use FB video campaign which costs less then traditional campaigns.
most important part is the targeting..get in the mind of a potential buyer and tweak your targeting audiance until it converts.

No, you do not need a page with alot of likes.. Likes does not matter... Create a product/niche based page or you can build a brand page completely new and start running ads to it.

On Shopify , there is an app available called "Etsify" which can help you to import and update your etsy products within shopify.

Go through Jon Loomer's blog and learn the basics of Facebook Advertisement.

Make sure your store have conversion tracking implemented.

You dont HAVE to create a facebook page if you're using ads. However it would be best to do so, that way you can capture an audience for future sales. I'd also recommend installing a Facebook pixel so that you can retarget your customers in the future.

No i don't. I will rely on existing customers from etsy and ebay to figure out my audience.

Building a Facebook page and Instagram account might be helpful. Juicing every possible source of traffic (especially free ones) will bring significant value to your business - both short and long-term.

I don't know, my product is art and its difficult to create an instagram campaign for art. Watches and t shirts are easy to promote, you can pay influencers to wear them, but art?

Why restrict yourself to only facebook ads? It's such a slippery slope. Take your time to create and build accounts on:

• Instagram
• Twitter
• Pinterest
• Google+
• LinkedIn
• Tumblr

If you do some minor research you'll find this forum has some great threads on Facebook ads..take your time to read the comment sections as well..there's some gold in there.
