i spend about $9-$15 everysingle day on cigarettes for the last 2 years am kinda a chain smoker i guess how much do you spend every day on cigs? am trying to cut down the cost as well smoke less

Lady: Do you smoke?
Guy: Yes I do.
Lady: How many packs a day?
Guy: 3 packs.
Lady: How much per pack?
Guy: $10.00 per pack.
Lady: And how long have you been smoking?
Guy: 15 years
Lady: So 1 pack is $10.00 and you have been smoking 3 packs a day which puts your spending per month at $900. In 1 year, it would have been $10,800. Correct?
Guy: Correct.
Lady: If 1 year you spend $10,800, not accounting for inflation, the past 15 years puts your spending total at $162,000. Correct?
Guy: Correct.
Lady: Do you know if you hadn't smoke, that money could have been put in a step-up interest savings account and after accounting for compound interest for the past 15 years, you could have by now bought a Ferrari?
Guy: Oh. Do you smoke?
Lady: No.
Guy: Then where's your fucking Ferrari?

Start working out and eating right and you won't even want cigarettes anymore.

I used to smoke over half a pack a day on average. Now I smoke one every other day - sometimes I go 2-3 days without smoking.

I don't HAVE to smoke anymore - I just do it if I feel like having a cig.

And sometimes they make me sick/dizzy now.

People that try to quit without changing lifestyle will find it hard to quit.

Just start eating right and hitting the gym, or start running/walking everyday, or do a martial art or a physical activity. Take a class, join some club or something etc.

I use to spend 5.5-6 GBP a day because I buy under the table Marlboro from Poland / Romania :D

If you force yourself to start to do any kind of sport ( even normal running) and eat properly and just healthy you will quit them.

I quit them for a half year, nowI start again :D FML

read easy way to quit smoking by Allen Carr but the truth is that you are the one who decides to smoke or not. It's all in your head.

Take into consideration that if you had taken that money from cigarettes and put it into your savings, you would have had $8760, probably $9000 with added interest. That's $9000 down the drain, now instead of thinking about what you wasted in the last two years, think about what you could save in the next 2 years. The next 2 years after that, and after that, etc. If you stop now, then you will have $9000 more in the bank in 2 years. Ofc it's hard to quit cold turkey so i recommend getting an ecig and slowly lowering your nic amount. Drop it by 10% each month, every 2 months, whatever you feel comfortable with. Eventually you'll stop and think, why am i even using this, it feels like a chore at this point and you'll throw the whole thing away. Good luck.
