The diagram shows one brand ring, and three persona rings.
I've created my brand ring. I'm thinking that may be enough to give me the rankings I need.
If not, I'll create some persona rings.

Does the persona ring link to every property in the brand ring,
or does the persona ring link to just one brand property?

According to the diagram below, it looks like the first persona simply links from its Twitter property
to the Brand's Wordpress property.

Most ifttt recipies are content syndication. Doing so can lead to penalties or rank suppression.

The only ifttt recipies I always use are those that share article titles and images.

OPs suggestion works. But IFTTT is a bullseye

For 90% of my articles, I dont want it shared wholly on another website.

No other elaboration is needed. IFTTT is a great tool. As long as you dont repost a lot of content you are fine. So avoid public recipies and make your own.

Most ifttt guides suggest instapaper and medium. But they don't last.

Be smart. And ifttt is great.

Those five ring services are good for social media link building. Use twitter as your trigger and use ifttt as a tier two or three.

If you use it otherwise, it is huge pattern.

I consider ifttt failures as the random link elements a campaign should have. Some triggers fail. Most fail, so it appears random.

But I dont trust random.

The general SEO advice is that you should repost your old posts to Twitter.
It's not a bad thing.

As of now, this is just for my brand ring, and I'm just doing YT videos.

By the way, Getpocket is not working at all. I have the recipe turned in IFTTT, but my Getpocket channel has just my seed post on it still.

Yes, reposting old tweets.

But not going into Twitter and reposting a tweet.
I mean if I do another IFTTT for the same video.

The recipe I've got is YT like --> all sites.

All I've got to do is like my YT video again (I have about ten videos that I'll cycle through),
and the video gets posted (reposted) to all my properties in my brand ring.

Seems like something a brand would naturally do. Not just SEOs.

Most of these are legit do-follow backlinks I think. And a few of the properties are Google properties. They aren't links coming from spammy domains.

I've created a brand ring. I want Google to know it's mine, and that I created it.
I'm the business owner. A business owner creates a FB page for his business.
This just extends that to Tumblr and other sites.
Though I suppose the list of links in a Ggl doc and on Ggl Drive may seem unnatural.

For the persona rings, Ggl does not know you created them if you are using proxies and making sure your browser print is different.

The OP said you don't need to worry about proxies for any of the rings when it's your own business, but I think he must be incorrect.

Why would it be okay to create four persona identities (each with 10 to 20 web properties), all sharing the same ip address and browserprint as the brand itself?

I suppose one explanation is that 4 employees of the company are all using the same company computer. Another explanation is that the four personas all live in the same house and use the same computer as the business owner.

Watched the "Testing Youtube Recipes" video, he addresses this.
Pocket doesn't show anything until you go to Pocket share it (to your profile).

You know as well as I that the course we're all learning from is nearly 3 years old.
Since three years ago, they have certainly added some properties.

We are aware of 20 or so properties (and a couple no longer work).
For all we know, they are now using 10 additional properties.

Only one of us needs to purchase the service, then can share the extra properties.
You, the purchaser, will still have the most to gain from this; as the service will be done for you.

He did mention Bitly shortener though.
He said you could make a shortened URL of your Youtube channel in addition to your Youtube channel URL.
This would give you 4 URL links all pointing to your YT:

1. Your YT channel URL
2. Your YT channel about page URL
3. Your YT channel videos page URL
4. Your YT channel URL as a shortened URL (but not using google shortener)

on Wordpress, I'm able to list only about 4 personal links.
Originally I listed ALL my links (according to the course).

But every time I check by viewing my site, it shows my Youtube channel link (for example) as simply youtube.com. I tried putting my exact YT channel link as the url, and it keeps reverting to the YT domain rather than my YT page.

This is true for every site except Weebly, Tumblr, and Blogger. For those it shows my page URL (unless it simply kept the first three or four I tried, and reverted by default upon the 5th site...maybe it lets you put three of any).

I'm planning on buying the service from Benner, the originator of the source.
I'll probably do this tomorrow. It's $200 for the most basic package (which I'll probably do). Reason I'm doing it is partly so I can see what's changed in three years (new properties, for example).
