There is actually a Bitcoin bar where I live. They take Bitcoin, Monero, and a few others. I went in and ordered a pint and he said great, come back next week when we have processed your transaction.
If this pretend bar you made up were using a 0 conf wallet the transactions would be instant.

I use BTC and ETH as much as I can here in Cyprus.

For what? You pay rent in ETH? When you buy subway do you pay with eth? How about renewing your DL, do you use ETH for that? That is why it's useless. Saying you use it all the time, but it represents less than 5% of your spending doesn't really mean you use it a lot. We are a ways away from that being a possibility.
Dude that wasn't the question. Your thread title is "What crypto do you use on a daily basis" to which I answered ETH. I do use it all the time, never did I say it has replaced fiat in my life. It has become a a form of payment that is an option now that is quicker and cheaper than other options out there (Paypal, Western Union). I could easily list 5 important things to me that I use it for, if you would like a list.

I don't understand the love/hate relationship with crypto on here. So much of the world is under banked and crypto provides another option for conducting transactions fast and cheap. Many companies are starting to use blockchain in their business and you may be using it already and not even know. The tech is there and it will grow further. To knock crypto in general, is only looking at the price of the coins....you yourself know its much more than that.

I'm well aware of what the thread title says. I wrote it. It's considerably cheaper and way more convenient, but the point I was trying to make is you looking for a merchant based on needs not based on what they accept as payment. That part is a ways away from not being a problem. I use bitcoin for as much stuff as I can and it's definitely less than 5% of my spending. Thanks for your input. I appreciate your point of view and sharing it with the thread.

If they aren't using a 0 conf wallet then they are doing it wrong. I think of a 0 conf wallet as a cash box and anything else that isn't a 0 conf wallet as a bank. A cashbox is more convenient than going to the bank for each transaction. At the end of the day the cash box is deposited into the bank for safe keeping. You could also move all your bitcoin from a 0 conf wallet to a cold storage wallet for safe keeping. Waiting 10-40 minutes for a transaction to show up in their wallet is completely useless.

I am using some Ether to play games on the blockchain such as ETH.TOWN :D I know all of them are pyramids (or how people like to call them now: zero sum games) but it's still fun for me.

Did you partake in Cryptokitties when it first started? I wasted about 1.3 eth and have 33 kitties sitting somewhere. I haven't fed them in months. They are probably dead now.

Nope, sorry. I only got into them recently.

Let us know!
I normally use bitcoin to buy online services such as hosting, proxies etc. However, If I had an option to pay through stellar, I would definitely prefer that. Its fast and has a very low trx fees as compared to other coins. ETH is probably the worst option

I think it's because marketers for the last 10 years have been the driving force of crypto which has skyrocketed its valuations. Some of the richest individuals in crypto started off blogging this was huge in China. People used that platform to get clicks, form a community and launch other ventures or start their own coins that they could then pitch to the community they formed from blogging. Because you can buy almost anything in this media world a few very rich individuals can create any narrative they want.

Just look at Roger Ver, a very very rich man who lost his mind trying to get people to buy into bitcoin and once he succeeded spent millions trying to get people to buy anything besides bitcoin.

Is there anything else you do the whole day besides shitting on bitcoin and whining around in this sub? Asking for a friend.

Yes I like to dress as a lady and play with Lego.

Is there anything else you do the "WHOLE" day apart from look for posts and then comment on them using extremely wild exaggerations?

I'm not huge crypto guy, but in my opinion 99.99% crypto's are useless.. I like Flash coin. It's the only coin which has real world purpose. Instant payments with almost 0 transaction fees. It's already being used in few countries, you can buy coffee and so on, also you can send your coins with your email, it works just like paypal.. also maybe IOTA will be useful in 200 years. But what the hell do I know.. :D

What i meant to say, i can see why it can be useful in a real world, like buying coffee and shit, because it's fast and fees are close to 0. And actually I don't give a fuck.

Dude. I'm not really into following crypto fashion trends or interested in what people do or don't do.
