language on a PBN

I have several expired .com domains. They were used in English previously. I want to use them to rank my German blog. What strategy in terms of the PBN language should I take:
1. Keep English language on the PBN and link out to my German site
2. Setup PBN in German language
3. Doesn't matter?

In my case I try to pick domains that were German, and write new German content. But I think it is possible to change the language from "original" to German. Anyway the link to your money site have to be "natural". So try to imagine does a simple user can post link from English to German in this case?

Also you can mix German text with English, so your backlinks profile seems to be more natural

Thanks guys, I already have the domains registered so want to use them anyway. Just wondering how people go about this. Seems like some people totally retheme expired domains by fully changing the language onsite and others keep the old one...

Next time try to find domains with German history (if possible from your niche), it will give you a better boost.

And also, it'd look weird an English site linking to a German one.

For now, you can grow your PBNs using french content.

Changing the domain language is no different to changing the niches. So really, if you have a brandable .com domain that was previously English and simply change it to German, you should be perfectly fine. So for me it's option #2. Mixing languages is never a good idea.

switch to german, and also try to get hosting with german IP addresses. makes a huge difference if you want to rank in germany.

Some German sites get English backlinks because of unavailability of German ones, but you had a chance to create PBNs in German, so do it and it's more efficient compared to the English version.

You could create a bilingual website (option to choose language) and link from both.
