I finally got my AdSense account approved a week ago, and now it's time to start making money. :)

My site which I used to get my account approved with has a ton of content, but doesn't currently get any organic visitors from Google itself.

I am planning on doing some paid Social Media promotion on sites such as FaceBook, Twitter, etc. So all of my traffic is going to come directly from social media.

My question is this:
Is Google AdSense okay with all my traffic coming from social media, or does AdSense want your site to have some Google search engine traffic as well?

I don't want to get my AdSense account banned, but I've heard many people say how their accounts got banned because most of their traffic was coming from social media with almost no search engine traffic.

What should I do?

this is not true at all , you got banned probably cause of bot or invalid click btw i am using adsense since 2010

I've never gotten banned by AdSense, but I want to make sure I don't get banned.
Are you sure about that? This is what I've read on BHW before:

I am not sure about your way driving the traffic is safe, but based on experience website with traffic from social media and less from organic search will lead a banning adsense account.
Adsense policy is always mysterious and only Google who know exactly what the mean.

Maybe @MSRP can chime in on this more? Also going to tag @se900se for his input too.

Officially there should be no problem if most or all of your traffic is from Social Media.
Though it is AdSense - you can be banned for no reason or just because they think there may be something. It's very strict and they have their reasons for that. The best thing you can do is to get accounts with multiple networks, so you don't keep all eggs in 'AdSense basket', to make your AdSense even more secure I would suggest opening accounts with display ad networks and run them along with AdSense in DFP. This will add another level of security for you and for your profit.

Make sure your site has ads.txt with all ad networks listed.

Hi, thank you so much for responding to my thread.

I agree with you when it comes to working with other networks, and not just AdSense. But I am a newbie when it comes to this, and I don't know of any other networks that are good to work with. You mentioned

Would you mind telling me of some display ad networks that would accept a new site with little traffic like mine? Or would I have to build up the traffic first before getting accepted into another network?

Another question: What is DFP?

Make sure your site has ads.txt with all ad networks listed.

I had no idea that this had to be done. Thank you for mentioning it. How important is to implement it? I'll Google it and see how it is to be done since I have no idea.

Thank you for responding to me again.

If you follow the correct rules and regulations of adsense then surely you will not be banned .

I think you should get some organic visitors then after your account will never banned i'm also using my adsense account since 2016.

all my money on adsense comes from social media. no outside traffic sources other then the popular social media site and i have had no issue the last 4 years.

Glad to help. I have two discussion threads about traffic arbitrage - you may find it helpful as it has many questions discussed already.

The list of ad networks can be found here - Top 100 AdNetworks - AdSense Alternatives
This list can be very helpful for analysis and research as it also shows you how many publishers using each ad network

DFP is an ad server that you program to serve your ads per your requirements, to give a simple example: you can have 3 display ads on your page but 10 display ad networks - DFP will help you to run all 10 ad networks at the same time by automatically showing your ads to the right users with the idea to squeeze maximum monetization. It shows your highest paying ads first and lowest paying ads in the end, as well as you can setup ads to be shown by geo and other parameters, e.g. show Canadian ads to a Canadian traffic only.

Ads.txt is a text file that contains info about ad networks you work with, AdSense has it too - https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/7532444?hl=en

i got banned twice due to force user to click on ads it was page only with ads without content

I've never gotten banned by AdSense, but I want to make sure I don't get banned.
Are you sure about that? This is what I've read on BHW before:

as i told you i am very sure about that i am using adsense with social media ( facebook pages , groups , tumblr ) now right now still my account working since 2015

I don't hear anything like that.if you got social media traffic they not banned you. social media traffic is safe traffic why they banned you.
