I guess the next really big thing will be the 'the internet of things'. Everything will get connected to everything else - and the result will be mind numbing complexity. Cash will most likely be phased out, chips will be planted in every human and we too will be able to interact with the net in ways we can't imagine today.

Apps that make handling super large data sets easy will be in great demand. And so will apps that can make sense of all the data.
