Actually I have noticed many business ups and downs in recent past and I feel very concern about the the potential of this field!

Lets share your view on Future of SEO!

Thank you!

You just started something what could become a very interesting thread! :)

Totally following, I'd like to read what BHW-ers think of the future of SEO.

What is the SEO Future for next 10 Years?

The answer is: Between
and
and Keyword

Algorithm will change and strategies will change accordingly google will give more preference to paid services. My thought.

It's been going this way for quite some time, but as algorithms get smarter, the efficacy of black-hat approaches is decreasing, and it's only going to get more difficult.

For example, even inbound marketing (funnel pages etc) which aren't technically black hat simply don't work organically anymore. Just a few years ago all you could find were ClickFunnels or LeadPages, now you almost never find yourself in these funnels. Google's gotten pretty smart at adapting very quickly to marketing hacks.

Because of this, I really think that usability and value are going to be the new goals for the vast majority of marketers. While there will always be ways to circumnavigate the system, and always be some loopholes, 95% of SEO is just creating quality experiences, unique content, and excellent technical optimization. Like it or not, Google's a walled garden, and in most cases playing by their rules helps you win in the long term.

We're seeing more and more clients see results from a 6-month to 12-month long term approach - it's expensive, but it lasts a long time and if you do it right, you won't be penalized.

Google needs good quality user content and powerful links that looks natural. If you follow these two rules you can bank even after 20 years.

google is going more and more toward big brands. I think it not like before when they were trying to ''fight'' anything related to BH like PBNs... now they just rank the brands that they know are legit and they let you burn your time and money trying to rank until you give up. LOL
take look at the serp 95% of the websites ranking for real money keywords are big brands. Yes you'll find the rest 5% are some small sites but here is your answer, in the future even those 5% will get cut.

sorry but are you already ranking for something valuable or just repeating what others are saying ?

if you can choose them to be slow & powerful then they are not really natural LOL
You don't need to show me anything good for you :)

Google is trying to get away from the backlinks and move to AI evaluation of the content and I think its going to happen in next 5-10 years.

Links was (and mostly still are) the most powerful signals Google takes in account when evaluating where the page should rank. However now many SERP results are skewed and often did not offer the most relevant page to the query. Last year one of the big Googlers posted in Quora that Google is spending bazillion dollars each year fighting black hat seo in general (and link building schemes in particular) because they consider that for the biggest danger to their business.

So the future of SEO is on-page.

Artificial intelligence Links, Self Aware Do-Follows and Flying Links.

Also in the future there will be no guru blogs. Google will use AI and just throw their shit in the GSB (Google Shit Bin) not to be confused with the mythical Sandbox.

Think there maybe a few Martian members here. I don't want to name names but check out @Neon.
ayy lmao

SEO is changing all the time - that's what makes it so interesting and lucrative.

The industry was still in its infancy 10 years ago, so chances are it will be pretty unrecognisable in another 10 years. That said, AI and voice search are hotting up right now, so they could well be a part of the future landscape.
