Found this little diamond in the rough. Is it too good to be true? I want to invest some time and grab that keyword what are your thoughts? It's in the gaming niche, no porn or gambling it's clean. A pearl or what?

Probably best to analyze the top 10 competitors for onpage seo, content length and of course how many links point to that exact URL.

Only then you can be sure about the competition.

I wouldn't trust so much the ahref keyword difficulty score

Fixed the image for you.
How did you do it , you wizard. thanks :)

the top 1 is impossible to get , will never happen but the next 4 in line are weak , 3 to 6 backlinks with very low DA etc

I would goto kwfinder and please tell us the difficult score please .

1, dont sound correct plus most use kwfinder for kw seo website score .

if you can get a 1 with that many other stats , means you just hit page 1 with just a kw heading and short sentance.

if you can get the domain aswell and it all true be amazing .

first tell us the kwfinder difficult score

Is it a Cpa keyword ?
It's not ,just very specific.

I think you are right , Kwfinder score is 50 , however the other referring domains seem easy to pass in the SERP as most of them are very low backlinks except number 1 result is 50.5k backlinks no spams and DR 85+

Be aware of double meaning. Like the word "sharp", it can be a sharp knife or an electronics company.. make sure that most of the searches are for the meaning you need.

I don't want to be position 1 on search result but what if it was number 2 or 3? that's a lot of exposure. If the position 2 and 3 are held by low authority domains , low backlinks would it be really that hard to bump them out of the way ?

After you have uploaded the image to imgur, hover over the image and you will get a box with a dropdown arrow. Click on that arrow and select "get share links". Then you can use the BBCode and paste it directly into your message, or you can use the share link, add the file extension to it (jpg for example) and then paste that into the image url box on here.

There is a guide with screenshots here - https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-add-images-to-your-posts.1047085/#post-11261885

i understand you , but the main keyword stat is 50 as difficulty, the backlinks might all be very low and shitty this tell me that there getting help with some other way .

pbn is my guess .

the problam is you need to get indexed on page 1 and to do that you need to battle the compitition , so you need to audit all the comp websites to see what it take to get on page 1 .

we won't no that info as you can see ,as it not our project , but if I see a difficulty of above 15 I usally stay away ...

the work just drags on

i sometimes challenge my self but it dam hard work on a 35 difficulty drained me heavy .

Ahrefs KD only takes amount of backlinks to the specific top 10 pages into consideration. Not root domain. The score also differs from others in that the KD is how hard it is to rank top 10, not #1 or top 3.

Look at top 10 results and check to see if the sites are optimized. Also take into consideration age and authority. Those are big factors for ranking as well.

I’d also pay attention to the keyword’s search demographic. If this isn’t a keyword that is often used by your target market, you’d be wasting your efforts! You should also consider the search volume relative to other keywords and whether you are getting enough ROT (return on time) for ranking on the first page. The number of times this keyword was searched over a period of time would also be a good indicator of impressions per period. :)

Keyword competition scores aren't necessarily best indicators of 'Diamonds In The Rough', I would suggest going through the 'Top 10' search results to see if they're relevant to the keyword or add value to users. If you find results from sites such as Pinterest, Yahoo Answers or Quora, it can be taken as an indication of a truly 'Low Competition' keyword.

I don't really consider KD while trying to rank for a KW. What you should do IMO is to properly analyze the top 10 sites in the search results. Go through their article and see how you can optimize yours better.

I recently launched a website (3 months old now) around a KW with has a keyword difficulty of 52 according to KWfinder (9M average monthly search).

I created the website after i analysed the top 10 search results and I know i can rank regardless of what KWfinder says. Just like yours, most of the sites has low content and less backlinks to that exact URL though they have better DA (30 - 70).

I wrote about 3600 word article on that KW of course the domain name has the keyword in it. I also created filler contents, about 5 of them (at least 1k words each) and I did some interlinking too.

Presently I'm ranking on #15 position for that KW and also I'm ranking for some KW's on the filler contents.

Funny I got to #50 position for my main KW with just tumblr links and weebly before getting some high quality links (4) which pushed me to #15. I'm very sure I'll hit the first page soon :smirk:.

So if you are confident enough, i think you should try it :D

In that case (if you have the time, and budget), I would recommend doing everything you can to take all of these positions. It'll put you in much better standing should a competitor come knocking.

Thank you all for the great answers, very insightful. I am going to try this project and see how it goes, I'm giving it 2 months to be top 10 position. I have audited the pages and they are not optimized, low backlinks , low DA , DR UR etc. and I have all the tools to do some SEO so why not try :)

thanks mate I think you're right I'm going to give it a try. I found some aged 2.0 blogs (weebly , tumblr ) that have been dropped not long ago with great stats so will use them to launch off a little seo campaign see how it goes :)
