Instagram journey to 1k€/month

Hi everybody,

I'm an Instagram noob with some previous (but not much) experience with CPA marketing on Facebook and Tumblr. This thread will document my just started Instagram journey and will serve as motivation for me and hopefully some of you as well: I've started from scratch with 0 accounts two weeks ago, so everybody can see my progress and learn some useful tricks, which I myself will learn while progressing and scaling up!

There's not really much to say in this first thread, the plan looks similar to many other Instagram journeys, it can be synthetized with:

1. Build several accounts and grow their followers
2. Monetize the accounts using different strategies

STATUS
At the moment I own 12 accounts, all manually created and all with different niches (travel, fitness, food, design, etc...). I plan to create my accounts manually, and this is the only step that requires my intervention as everything else is then automated by a custom-built bot that performs standard actions like follow/unfollow, likes and comments and post creation. Since I built the bot myself I also added some extra functionality, like targeting specific accounts with follows (according to how many people they follow and how many followers they have) or adding special captions to the posts and so on.

I created the first account two weeks ago and the last one just today. I have a total of ~1800 followers across all the accounts. I'm not thinking yet about the monetization strategy I want to wait for an account to have at least 3000 followers before trying to monetize, then I will try to find the best monetization strategy for that specific niche through experimentation.

The first milestone is on the 26th of September, 1 month after creating my first account, to evaluate how many followers I can get in 1 month, my initial estimate was between 8k and 12k in total, so let's see if I can reach that. I will try to answer any question (but will not reveal the account names) and try to keep the thread updated at least weekly in order to monitor the progress frequently.

I'm still building new accounts in different niches and working on the bot itself. The growth is constant of about 200 followers per day, so it is not that good: definitely need to improve the rate of growth to reach 10k followers by the 26th.

As of now I fortunately do not have any account that has been banned. At most I've been asked for phone verification on some accounts. But the accounts do not have any link in bio and are not posting spamming content, they are completely "white hat", except for the fact that they are botted. The settings are as follows:

• Follow: 200-300 per day
  
• Likes: 100-200 per day
• Comments 10-20 per day

I'm still experimenting with the settings and changing them often, I think I'll increase the numbers soon at least for some of the accounts.

Just trying them out without much research. I'm mostly choosing niches for which it is easy to find good quality content and that I think will fit well on Instagram. I have 15 accounts so I'm covering already a good amount of different topics and I still have some ideas for new accounts to create soon.

What about proxies? Are you using any?

Do you have a thread for your journey? I'd like to follow that but I didn't find it.
Anyway, at the moment I'm using a VPN when creating the accounts (since I create them from my home computer having always the same IP results in phone verifications). I'm then running the bot on a VPS and I have multiple servers: on each server I put 4 or 5 accounts, once they are one the server they do not use proxies.

No at real I don't do threads on my journeys TBH cuz from what I have seen most of the journeys here fade away on time so I haven't yet take the opportunity to make one.
Hope that you won't just leave behind your journey like most of the people here.

Yeah I know, it's a common problem for people to lose motivation especially going through the first couple of months when you need to be working on the accounts without making money yet.
In my situation though, I think that since the bot goes on autopilot, I could literally do nothing for 12 months and just watch the accounts grow, then sell all of them for whatever I can. I did some calculations and I think this should yield at least 5k$ for virtually no effort (this is of course if I don't get any bans, etc...). However, you can make way more money if you monetize them yourself so my primary goal is to try that and sell only some of the accounts, then sell all of them only if plan A fails.

So here's an update on how it's going

The growth has been pretty constant, I think I'm on track to reach 10k followers on the 26th, give or take. Three of my accounts have been hit with phone verification, so I used my cousin's number to verify them (I already used mine for 3-4 accounts and I don't think it is safe to keep using that). I'm looking for a reliable and cheap service to buy virtual phone numbers, just to receive SMSes. Do you guys have any suggestion? Everyone one that I found online looks like crap or too complex (receive/forward calls, mass send SMS, etc... which I don't need).

To give a complete overview I will also summarize my expenses:

• 50$ for 6 months of VPN
• 50$ loaded on shoutcart.com (I have not yet spent most of them, but I believe it will not turn out to be worth it)
• 20$/month for the VPSes

So I spent a total of 120$ while I will be spending 20$ per month on the VPSes (and this will increase as I keep adding new accounts).

Yeah I definitely need to find a solution to that. I tried smspva.com but it says that I cannot use PayPal since I need a 6 months old account and I tried to use the other payment providers to no avail. I'll give it a second try soon.

Try to locate some real sim cards, UK real numbers work better than anything else in my experience.

I would suggest you contact one of the admins in their website. You can pay them on paypal and they refill it manually. (if you haven't found a source yet)
