Hi guys,

I am trying to find a way to optimize my homepage for SEO and I’m having a little trouble. I’m still new at this so please correct me if I got this wrong.

I am using Wordpress for my site. My homepage is setup with multiple items on the homepage each written as post. I bought my links and submitted keywords stupidly not thinking as much. My keywords describes my website as a whole and doesn’t show up a lot on my homepage.

So what I’m thinking to make these links effective is to write more post with the keywords in it and those post will display on my homepage? Will this work if I tag the keywords in the post H2? I’m using a plugin to display multiple post on my page so I’m not sure if it’ll be tagged as an H2 as I’m still researching it but I think it does.

Sorry if this doesn’t make sense! It’s a little hard for me to explain. If this clarifies it more, if my site is like my competitors, thisiswhyimbroke.com. I’m a put up more items with my keywords in the description. Would this make those links effective?

Thank you in advance for the advice!!

Setup Yoast SEO! That will do the trick my friend!
Thank you! I actually already have it set up. The issue is my homepage doesn’t have its own content. All the content on my homepage are from the post I made which is embedded on my homepage through a plugin.

So if you look at the text, you actually won’t see any content since it’s a page full of post

Typically you wouldn't try to rank the homepage. The only reason that makes sense is if it were an EMD or static page... but even in the case of a static page usually an inner page is better suited.

Sounds like your homepage is a blog feed. So, I wouldn't even worry about it.

What about static text on homepage with keywords you want to rank?

Pro tips-
1.Make sure that the homepage contain at least 1500 or more words in it.
2.Write some filler article and link them to the homepage
3. Build some diverse backlink to the homepage
