Installed Some Stuff Today And Now CPU Is F^&ked :(

Could really do with some advice. I installed some apps which were 100% clean with virus total and klok which was also mentioned in the post. Both are excellent tools.

Since my computer has been doing some seriously F%^ked stuff. It keeps logging me out, keys stop working and Micr0s0ft Narrator was mysteriously and randomly running. After g00gling I turned of the fast user switching which hasnt actually helped much. CPU seems to randomly kick log me off and I was also getting low on system resources messages that I have never seen on this machine as normally its very quick and clean.

Currently running 4 x antispyware / malwares and heard it has similar symptoms to some virus / spywares floating around. I keep this machine pretty clean and never have this kind of trouble...?

Does anyone have any ideas. Thankfully the virus / malware I saw can be removed with adaware. I have not got any results back but this machine has some seriously important stuff on it and cant loose it!

Any advice would be really good. I have also heard it could be a rogue setting that has changed some processes or a registry corruption. I have never come accross anything like this. It has been ok for the last 30 mins but hope it doesnt die on me.

PLEASE HELP...

EDIT: I just wanted to add I dont believe its the DL from here that has caused it. It could be anything thats caused it.

install "hijackthis" and check thru your logs and processes..
you can also post your logs to the support forum for analysis
some keyloggers and trojans can be UD

Make a clean scan with kaspersky 7 and then adaware pro, spyroot anti malware and malwarebytes antimalware step by step. All these tools are powerful enough to catch the malware if any running in your pc.

Thanks I am now running this it was one of the few things I wasnt trying lol.

turns out someone keylogged me and daily my system was sending the log file to his email account

This is what is worrying me its gone really screwy today its not necessarily a virus or spyware / malware I am just running a load of stuff just in case.

This is worrying though as I have been purchasing stuff online recently.

Did you have done a Scandisk?

do Run write cmd then when the cmd console is open write chkdsk. It will say if you have error on your HDD

thanks for the advice I am trying everything but will probably reformat to be safe.

I did also install a beta piece of software klok and everything (all my different scans and things I am trying) keeps coming up clean I am thinking its a possibility that has screwed something like a registry value or driver or similar?

REALLY p1ssed as I run 5 x different scanners including most of the ones mentioned in this thread each week and my machine is always clean.

Its important to remember back up everything and after this I think I might have to start running wind0ws as a virtual box through linux

Yo dude When you say logging you out do you mean disconnecting you from the internet OR logging you out of windows account?

If it's disconnecting you from the internet we need to talk cause I am having same issue after similar actions

I have been having issues disconnecting from the Internet but I think this is a driver conflict with my mobile broadband. The main issues I was having were similar to sticky keys. Keys on my keyboard were randomly working and not working, I was also randomly getting booted out like the windows and L command - user fast switching. I disabled this and it kept logging me out instead. Also the accessibility features were going crazy.

I am lucky I cloned my C Drive last week and I am actually Head of IT for a company and we have 3rd party techie gurus I was able to call:

Diagnosis was get Process Explorer and review all processes. All my processes were fine and recognised all (unless virus / spyware was labeled Micr0soft.

I also ran Adaware (recommended for removing the specific keylogger symptoms I was having, Spybot, SuperAnitSpyware and Malware Bytes. Also ran McAfee Enterprise and Hijack This. Thing that p1sses me off is I a have an excellent knowledge in this area and usually give advise to others. I have not had a virus etc. issue for 10 years!

Everything came back clean over and over and I recognised all processes. Based on this the problem could be either a wind0ws corruption, driver problem or keylogger (malware / spyware etc.). The only option because everything coming back clean was to reinstall wind0ws to be safe.

Fortunately I was able to get all my files that werent backed up 1 week of emails calendar etc. I restored C Drive using this (which is the sh1t BTW):

The next thing I f&*king did was get this:

1. Boot into the disk hit try without changing CPU.
2. Go into Applications > Partition Tool
3. Resize C Drive (takes a while)
4. ***IMPORTANT LEAVE UNFORMATTED SPACE AT LEAST 20GB***
5. Install Ubuntu on largest unallocated space

It should be as simple as that to then dual boot Win / Linux.

I have basically had it with wind0ws. Its not fit for purpose. I will be dual booting and only plan to run wind0ws for apps I need e.g. Ad0be stuff / most web apps I use.

All general browsing, office stuff, mail, viewing pdfs etc. will be done in Linux (especially BUYING stuff) I just hope someone hasnt f%^ked with my card details!

Longer term I will create a structured list / workflow for how I will work and whether to boot into Linux or Win.

REMEMBER GUYS I GOT LUCKY I ONLY HAVE ONE OR TWO BACK UPS THE OTHER WAS A YEAR OLD! BACK YOUR STUFF UP. PLEASE ALSO BE CAREFUL I AM VERY VERY CAREFUL WITH MY COMPUTER AND RUN A MIN OF 5 X APPS ONCE A WEEK TO SCAN FOR NASTIES AND ALL MISSED.
