Happy belated birthday! Glad to hear you've got a more positive attitude again. What are you studying, if I may ask? I never understood why anyone would study something they hated, just because their parents said they should.

Thank you, Conor! I'm enrolled on a Transfer Degree Media Arts program and I've been enjoying every single thing of it. Sometimes parents don't give you much of a choice, it's understandable how some parent might be a bit frustrated or having second thoughts on supporting you. Heck, like it's completely reasonable to think that you kid just might not make it, you know? Most would obviously not tell you but you bet they'd thought about it. So that's when you have to get things in order. You have to prove yourself, which is basically what I did. Everyone has a different experience but it sure happens quite often, and as I mentioned, it's completely understandable.

Why, what's up? I've found it helps to have a plan B wherever possible so that you're not just left with nothing if things take a turn for the worse.

Going pretty bad for the past few months ... no capital to invest in all the great ideas / projects i would like to start working on. Worst thing i don't even have a laptop of my own due to huge debts I was forced to sell a lot of my possessions, laptops desktops, mining gear , gold , watches etc. Now I'm borrowing a laptop from a friend to keep up with things. So many ideas, businesses i have on my mind, yet not one buck to start over.

I got a job this summer as a reception-er at a local hotel but I wasn't too happy with the wage. Hopefully i will find a better job and be able to start over IM full time.

Currently I have no debts , thanks God and planning to work hard to achieve my goals.

When i think about my IM career ... its been 10 great years, I've done well yet few things always have destroyed everything i worked hard for. Anyways stay away from any addictions if possible , it will save you a lot of time, money , friendships and many others.

Man, so many bummertimes stories in this thread.

I've had a great summer. Kicked ass with one client, so much so that when their contract is up at the end of this month they want to extend for another six months, plus add international SEO plus possibly PPC, so fees for that contract will go up accordingly.

Dropped a problem client that was causing me more headaches than they were worth

Also have two more contracts in the pipeline, so with those two plus the one I picked up at the beginning of this month I'm hoping to break $10,000/month in billing.

Life is good.

Everything is ok, last year around this time Crypto was big, still is really. But now there is alot of optimisum for seo again. So that's what I have been kind focusing on while it's hot.

But, I am inching my way to be an Iron man someday.

Did my first half marathon a month back. And, I am learning how to swim these days. By the way, my first full marathon is due this December. It's so hard to find time for training (my solace in bad days) when you are not there financially and in other avenues of life.

But, 'Grateful' for what's there on the plate because it could have been worse because around 6 months back I cleared about 90% of the debt that was hanging around my neck for nearly a decade. I don't know how I lived with such bad debts for so many years. Time just flew!

I know from personal experience it's tough starting with no capital, but not impossible. Just depends on your creativity and work ethic I guess. As for the addictions, I couldn't agree more. The quickest way to waste money is with crap like that. I also know from experience

Glad to hear it dude. It's actually one of the best feelings being able to afford to drop the low quality clients. I had one ask me to quote on a website and Facebook page a few months ago. They ended up wanting "just" the facebook page because it was cheaper, and ended up sending me dozens of emails with questions that weren't even worth answering for the amount I was charging them. I dropped them too, thankfully before we finalised the work. All the best breaking $10k this month! Keep us updated on how that goes.

Good luck for December. I know it's tough focusing on other things when money problems are lingering there in the back of your mind. Sounds like you're on the right path though, so all the best. Clearing debts takes an unnecessarily long amount of time, I guess patience is key here.

It might be worth considering automating simple tasks where possible, macros are an amazing thing Personally I'm not a fan of dirt cheap labour, but that's just me. Good luck with the project and girlfriend hunt lol. Tinder is an amazing thing too if the college girls don't work out.
