I have no idea whats going on but lately i cannot download any torrents, its stuck on '' downloading meta data and connecting to peers''... most of the torrents has a high number of seeds too.

I also tried with and without a VPN.

I've tried Utorrent, Bittorrent and Qbittorent and yeah i've uninstalled and reinstalled many times out of frustration but still nothing. :/

Force restart after closing from the manager (alt+shift+esc)

I'm on Windows though

It's just a link for the Ubuntu Installer. Scroll down to "BitTorrent" and click on any link, it will download a .torrent file. Open it in BitTorrent and see if the download starts.

use a .torrent file instead of magnet link
it will work

okay did it now and download starts!

so i'm assuming something wrong with the torrents im trying to get?

Is there some minimum seed amount? if a torrent has like 1 or 0 seeds... can it still work?

i'm just curious, although even torrents with 1000 seeds dont download for me :/

Do you have an active firewall/antivirus software? It would seem something is blocking the transfer of p2p data.

try using vuze (client)
and . torrent file

regards

Do you still have problem with this? I found out that my OS did not let me download magnet links before for unknown reason. I swapped to a different OS and it worked. I really dont enjoy working with Windows, especially W10. Such a spyware if you ask me.

in uTorrent
right click on torrent, goto advance and select clear peer list, then restart uTorrent and force re-check your torrent.
it might help
