Business account = terrible engagement

Anyone noticed a loss of engagement when they switched to a business account?

Any idea on why this happens? Possibly because they want to sell advertising space? Any other reasons?

Also any idea on how to fix your engagement after the switch?

Personally I don't really see any loss of engagement after switching to business account. Just heard of rumors from people about losing engagement rate, but never faced this.

If you're using an automation tool you can have it like posts of your followers. In time, they will begin to reciprocate

About half of my accounts are business accounts, theres no difference. All speculation/conspiracies imo.

Eh I noticed if you buy ads , it will decrease engagment.

Other than that , it's fine, as long as you don't go crazy with botting.

I always had a feeling IG would cashin' on this, kinda like with FB pages/ads.
If people say there's no difference between normal/business accounts, okay but I wouldn't do it, personally if I don't have to and if I'm not running some companies account.

But, I like to reply to people on IG, don't know why I prefer it over IG.
More intimate and direct, in a way. You can clearly see who's contacting you.

its stupid, it does not sort by unread. it sorts by time. For some reason you need a business account to sort by unread. It get's messy in some of my niches .
