SEO for business whats safe

Hello Dear BHW community,

I know that the topic has been brought up many times around the forum. But I would love to see some general summary being created for noobies like me (as there are conflicting opinions). So the question is whats white hat and whats not? And more specifically off-page SEO (link building I mean) when does it turn black? Is seariously guest posting they only boring and slow way to rank safely?

Also two other side questions:

1. Is it possible to rank without links? (Low competition keywords) just good content? It seems like catch 21 how can people link to your content if your website has ZERO traffic.

2. In 2018 are tiered web 2.0 (where first tiers are manually written pointing to money site and other tiers are blasted with GSA links) safe for the money site?

My background I’m starting a website for my business and can’t really afford to change domein since I will be providing constant online service for customers on it so its not like I can take their money and then just delete the website to start over once Google penalizes me.

Hi, I can answer your 2 questions and show you what works right now

YES... And for fairly high ranking keyphrases - 3k - 10k article, well researched and layed out correctly.. I have articles at james-jenkins.co.uk - local seo.

NO... Best black hat tactic is to follow the Google leaked pdf document on how the pages are ranked....

Well all those “leaked documents” are the same as “secret reverse engineering google algorith” click bait. But I thought dear @James Jenkins might mean some google manual or other potentially useful material that I don’t know about.

Anyway could we get back to the main topic pf the thread would love to hear more opinions

Sure, get back to your thread's theme.

You can start giving out the address to your website to people IRL.
That way, you'll be getting traffic. Google doesn't have the "put new URL" option anymore, right?
Someone could test these things and see if there really are ways.

Yeah some in detail thread with a nice test carried out would definitely be welcome here at BHW. Once I’m done with developing my product I will start promoting using SEO I’ll try to rank without link building and see how it goes. Then I will share my results.

If I understand right then I think google fetch in google search console (webmaster tools) would make google crawl your page but they say it usually takes at least one day as far as I remember also if you are doing PBN etc you may not want to register your site in search console (not sure of this but heard that it may help google expose the PBN). Aside from that just getting a link from a page that google crawls regularly should do.

Yes, that's somewhat the thing I was talking about. Exactly, Google will get there eventually when you put the link into some popular websites. No worries there. So, what kinda service will you be providing on your site?
