an update: Hostgator is now no more offering this coupon and specially designed a page
where it says:-
The coupon (2IP) is not valid for domain registrations, or for service over one year. Please go back and change your plan term to 12 Months or less, and choose an existing domain.

Don't suppose there's anyone here in US who got the free hosting and doesn't use adwords? Each account comes with a free $50 adwords voucher but you have to have registered the gator account in the US and I'm in Australia. Pretty pleeease? I'll rep ya big time

LOL missed it....... I thought could use 1 business plan but it's expired now. I don't think they will cancel any one's account but they can verify it so fraud account i mean account with wrong details may loose them. Hostgator is a very big corp and can afford to offer few free services in hope of getting new customers. They pay their affiliates 100+ bucks for every sale.
at:man, i gotta be quicker on the draw on BHW. this forum is insanely active with good stuff, and if you blink you miss everything!

Yea I asked the support, and they say there is no problem if you registered with the coupon. So I think they are not going to ban everyone !

I am pretty stupid.
I signed up with business, but monthly plan.
Then I tried to do it again with yearly, but 10 minutes later... yes.. it stopped working
Does anyone know if I will have to pay the monthly until the $180 credits run out? Or am I fucked and I only got one month for free.
Oh and I also used fake info since I already have a hostgator account hah...

You only got one month for free as it stands right now. Talk to customer support and tell them that you came from 2ip and tell them what happened - they should fix it for you. They've had to make a few changes on my account as well.

I submitted a ticket... if that doesn't work I"ll try live chat..
Last thing I want to do is do hostgator live calling because the last time I called hostgator I got transferred to like 3 different departments...
And did you ask for an upgrade to one year from one month?

Coupon is not working anymore as stated in some posts above. I missed it by a few minutes earlier today lol but it looks like theres a new coupon on the way so maybe we can get a nice free business hosting soon.
And yeah it went pretty viral lol i wonder how much its gonna cost HG. i think they 'gave away' over $200k in free hosting
that and they emailed me today saying "how excited they are getting up to 200,000 users this month" lol
