Back in late June 2018, I was trying to start drop shipping using shoplify and i failed horribly.
I then out of anger decided to do the exact opposite of what every drop shipping guru said and logged in my old eBay account and became a seller. I found a promising looking backpack on Aliexpress and decided to list it. 2 days later it started selling quickly about 2 sold a day. I was making 5$ profit on each sell. I then decided to fully give up on my shopify website because I saw huge potential and I quickly researched on BHW the best ways to increase sales. I found out that lowering the price can increase my ranking and increase sales. So i did I decided to go lowball and just stick with 2.40$ profit per sale.

This happened
[I cant add pictures :(]

It blew up i started making over 50$ a day to the point i could not handle drop shipping myself so i got a program to do it for me.
I ended up to have to constantly call papal over my debit card getting limited until it finally stopped happening.
Later on late July I receive constant emails of people complaining on why there packages are on china.
I kept replying that its because we ran out of stock in USA and that we explain it in the description.

I ended up getting some complains and negative reviews because some packages were running extremely late and people expected them to arrive before school starts.
I then ended up with a eBay Vero take down by one of the companies.( I wasn't selling fakes)
Surprisingly eBay only took down a bracelet and a hat, they didn't take down my best seller product which surprised me as they should have it was from the same brand and using there logo.
Anyways i got scared and deleted the listing and sales dropped immensely.
I tried and tried to make a comeback those days by listing tons of products but i couldn't make a single sale.
So I found out yesterday if you become a top rated seller in eBay it increases exposure.
So Yesterday I did two things.
Sent bribe text to the people who left negative reviews so they can be taken down as it damages my ranking.
My eBay is ranked below standard and i got 9 days before eBay re evaluates it so i got to fix that.
So i decided to open my product back up and today it started selling.
This time i found an aliexpress shop that has it in stock in the usa.

[What I have learnt]
1. eBay loves selling products and ranks it higher
2.Your ebay sales will get destroyed because of negative review
3.Becoming a topseller is the best thing that can happen!
4.Seo is very important for eBay listings.

Have you considered handling stock yourself so shipping times aren't long? Is this viable? I have thought about it myself.

pardon my english writing skills they are horrible ( should be paying attention to english class

I would say it would be viable but its a costy investment with risk.
What I would personally do would be to first test how much the product sells dropshipped first and if its selling more then 100$ a month I would consider buying and storing it in a warehouse.
But I think its more promising doing this on amazon as they have fba and it would be profitable

Dropshipping through eBay is one of the quickest ways to lose both your eBay and Paypal accounts. Just hold a small inventory and don't be greedy or else you'll lose everything you've worked for. Trust me, been there, done that.

Haha funny.

reading this make my heart beat so fast. I am a drop shipper now for 3 months and I'm doing good not great...... I think...... but I'm afraid of Paypal problems in the future it can ruin everything I've built
