Moving content to another domain

Hi, and I am currently moving the content from a rather new domain to a domain, which brings much more trust etc. and has already existed for a long time.

Now I made a 301 redirection from domainA.de/page1 to domainB/page1, took the content with me and submitted the sitemap again for both domains. However, now the old page is still in the index, and the new domain has absolutely no rankings, since I guess Google still considers it as duplicate content. Is it normal to wait and see? Or was I wrong? It's only been two days since I started this. Maybe it just takes a few weeks?

Its another domain, so why rel canonical? I thought its only for intern content to prevent DC

Rel= canonical signifies to Google where the 'master' copy of the content lies. If the old domain is still indexed then (and your pages have rel canonical in the code) then Google will assume the old site is the 'master' copy and the new site is duplicate content, so it won't rank.

It takes a while for Google to process and crawl everything so just be patient. Submit everything in Search Console (sitemaps etc) and wait (I see you've already done that). Googke

If you use rewrites old contents that's not be an issue mate. It will be work on ranking easier.

the real way is 301 , but download a full copy and then move everythink to new website , but take the old domain stuff down.

but google will take time no matter what way you do it .

301 does work .

used a lot of times for same issues , just takes time.

you must 301 from the domain provider (( root)) not php or code

I believe you should have used rel= canonical which will tell Google that the content on your new domain is the original one whereas the content on the old domain is the duplicate one.
