I have no Idea about it.

For all sites that get visitors in EU. Use the search box, it's been discussed so many times on hereIs GDPR necessary for a niche site ??

You're fine. Just go build your niche site![]()
Want me to add the second part for you?
"And I'll pay any fines you receive"
They won't spend as much time as you will with lawyersHaha. If the EU is going to spend all of it's time trying to find GDPR violations on sites with less than 1,000 daily visitors, then the government needs to be reevaluated.

They don't spend time trying to find GDPR violations, they receive and respond to reports of violations. If you've got a tiny website then you've probably got a tiny bit of funding for legal representation.Haha. So how to be GDPR compliant if you only have comments on site and don't take money or let users log in?
What if you live in USA and only target USA traffic?
Op do you have the link ?
Assuming you mean me not op. In your wp dashboardOp do you have the link ?

The problem is that GDPR applies to EU citizens even in US. So how do you know your visitor is from US? Having an US IP doesn't mean they are not from EU.
Do they have that much privilege to drag someone from a different country to EU ?
(or I am wrong here ??)
I still dont have cookie consent on my website. How long has that been...GDPR is essentially a revised version of the data protection act. You need to follow GDPR in the same way that you need to follow the data protection act.
GDPR is in the news a lot, its getting a lot more exposure and so it does seem more prominent. Also, because its new, I am sure there are people just waiting to file a lawsuit based on it.
If you have a small site then you are probably no more likely to get into trouble over GDPR than you were over data protection act BUT it is still a possibility, so its probably something you should give some time and thought to.
