I have a fairly new online smoke shop, thesourceofall.com. I was ranking for competitive keywords like bong, bongs, dab rigs, and herb grinder, however as of yesterday when I search these keywords on google my website is nowhere to be found. Is there a reason behind this? I know google had a huge algorithm update on August 1, but these changes on my website took effect yesterday. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

I quickly analyzed your domain, you have big peak in lost backlinks in last 2 months. It's enough reason to lost ranking.

And a good idea would be to edit the thread and remove the url.. lots of people looking for niche and website ideas

I think the google algorithm update would take sometime to hit your site - it can take anywhere from 1 week to a max of 3 weeks before you notice fluctuations to your site's ranking on the serp.
But if your shop is no where to be found on the serp - either wait a little, wait a week or 2 before formulating a strategy respectively, as it could be a dance.
Otherwise, you must continuously build backlinks to your site - not just any spammy backlinks, but hq ones. You'd know they are hq as when you add these links, you'd notice an immediate improvement to your site's ranking on the serp. If they don't move up a little, that means the links are not hq enough.

give it sometime, may be the Algorithm did hit you hard, may be you should check Ahref about your websites backlinks and various other tools to know the reason.
