So I've been building my site and working on getting a lot of genuine guest posts, press release, some blog links but nothing too black hat such as PBN's etc

I was wondering if its generally safe to purchase gigs from fiverr offering stuff like infographic image submissions etc?

Basically, what SEO links am I safe to outsource to sites such as fiverr without the fear of getting penalized or ranked lower later on? I'm looking to build link diversity.

Fiver is the best way to sink a site.... I would look at guest posting on blogs in the same niche with good stats.

I’d agree to avoid most Fiverr link packages. Except maybe individual guest posts if you can find any sites with some traffic.

With Seo less is more, when it comes to quality, if your playing the lets get as many links as we can game it's black hat. Your site might go up fast and you will make some cash but it will then crash and be penalized from which you may never recover. Low amounts of great links will show improvments and give you a long game. Just keep adding a few every month like clockwork

But what about link diversity?

Use web2.0's and social signals with a hint of doc, images and vid sharing sites

Alright, please excuse my ignorance but there are a few things I don't understand.

Web 2.0 - site's like tumblr

social signals - how do social signals relate to web 2.0? (basic example?)

Doc, Images, Vid sharing sites - I get the vid sharing part, basically a youtube vid with backlinks no? but what about the doc and image sites? How would I use those?

Yes 2.0 tumblr, wordpress, wix

Social signals - webpage likes and shares

Doc and image sites- where you share photos and PDFs with links back to your site ( infographics )

Can use other video upload sites such as dailymotion or archive.org too (just add small description with a backlink, dailymotion indexes easy too)
Doc sharing sites, issuu, slideshare, 4shared (these would usually require you upload PDF files with hyper links in them)
Image uploading sites, such as flickrr, imgur, 500px, deviantart, tinypic (could upload your featured images onto branded account with link)
Audio sharing sites, such as soundcloud (maybe find a relevant PLR audio clip to a page on your website, and use link as a reference in description)

Basically, you just upload relevant non-spammy material with a backlink to your page mate.
You may or may not have to do some work to get the links indexed though, as it depends on the platform.

Be sure to do some research into anchor clouds before you build links so you don't mess up and get your site penalized.

I am constantly creating top quality content blogposts, which include images and/or infographics.

Whilst I do great onsite SEO and build standard backlinks it recently occurred to me that I can take my images and post them on image sites to get backlinks.

The images are new/unique etc.

>>> Can anyone else recommend some top quality image sites to post too? <<<

I write scripts for most of my backlink posting to automate the work so I can handle a lot of sites. Do these image sites (i.e. JUST the image) give good SEO weight or am I better off just sticking to web2.0's and reposting the whole/part/spun/edited/cultured/etc full content blogposts?

Thanks for any tips.

Avoid building backlinks from fiverr sources. Infact you should keep working on guest posting, press releases, blog commenting, web 2.0s and include social signals on your website. This will increase the traffic and backlinks to your site.
