Expired Domain from a Bad Brand

I want to build a money site, a churn and burn type. I stumble upon a couple of site from my country with links from huge media sites. After further investigation, those sites are listed by the goverment as bad companies that's why many exposure from the media.

From SEO point of view, this domain is still valuable, right? What do you guys think?

Depends. If it's heavily copyright protected, then that's an issue. Also, if they are spammed to death. That might be another issue.

I'm not entirely sure, but i think copyright will not be an issue due to the circumstances by the goverment. They don't have a lot of links, about 10-20 RD but all from media sites so i think it's safe to assume that there's no link building campaign were performed.

I have money sites like that. Media links from recalled goods.

A link is a link and the site ranks fine.
