Do you guys watch anime ?

I really like Naruto,
I also had the pleasure of seeing the artwork, "Death Note"

Before my wife and I started dating, I had a girlfriend who was super into anime and Naruto and all that shit. I can understand the appeal a little bit, but god damn, 90 percent of the fanbase is cringey as fuck. We even had a kid at our high school who would do that retarded arms-behind-the-back running through the halls. Fucker got clotheslined one day and cracked his skull on the tile. He stopped after that.

On two separate occasions I have overheard full-grown men talking enthusiastically about anime in public. It made me want to suck start a shotgun.

But hey, I watch Rick and Morty, and you guys seem like you're having fun in this thread, so carry on.

Definitely stay away from anime conventions.
They're basically furry orgies.

Anime is cool but yeah, a lot of fans exhibit pretty, um... socially awkward traits.

I can enjoy anime without feeling the urge to argue with another grown man about who would win a fight versus who.

It's just the personality types of the fans. If anime didn't exist, they'd argue and fanboy over some other hobby.

If you want to watch a really good anime watch One Punch Man...

It's maybe 4 hours total and I haven't showed it to a single person that hasn't loved it. It's on Netflix.

I feel like there's something about that show for everyone.

It's purposefully made to parody common anime tropes - it's hilarious... and equal parts serious and thought-inducing.

It's about a bored, apathetic 9-5er drone that awakens his inner super hero and becomes so strong that he can defeat anyone in one punch.

So he becomes bored and apathetic again because nothing is a challenge to him.

The social commentary this show makes on the human psyche is deeper than most people realize.

Watch it in Japanese with English subtitles... it's more natural and the tone of voice/emotion is conveyed better than the English dub.

Its the only thing worth watching for me.. I grew up with it

Looks like most members here watch the very popular ones, I have watched all of them.. but as I grew older, I am more of into deep and seinen stuff

People need to know there is a lot in anime more than naruto vs one piece, or who would win, or what is the cutest girl.. I am talking to those who think anime is just a cartoon

@Sherb as I know you from long time I advice you to take some of your free time to watch something like this

https://myanimelist.net/anime/820/Ginga_Eiyuu_Densetsu

I am really sure you will be surprised of how complicated and deep these animes can go..

Yeah man, this scares so many people off. I'm a normal, fit, mature dude and I watch anime. You'd probably never guess I was into it if you met me. Most of the fan base is cringey and then others don't want to watch it because of it.

I watched one punch man again after checking out this thread.

Well I have learned more from dragon Ball z than I have learned from my school.

My all time favorites are: dragon Ball(all series), bleach, code Geass.

Though I feel I should watch Naruto once in my life

I mainly watch stuff that doesn't take itself too seriously. Normally don't like anime that goes on forever like a soap opera.

THIS IS MY JAM
