Hello everyone,

I want to ask every professional about this question that Is it worth getting a contextual backlink from a shitty website with real social media followers and ran by a real person?

For example, let's consider the stats of the following website.

Website: Twinkleintrendz.com

Domain Rank: 1

Traffic: 149/monthly

Referring Domains: 65

Please do let me know about your views.

Thank you!

Depends what you're paying.

But giving a quick look at that site, I probably wouldn't. They don't post regular content. For a fashion blog, that's really dumb. They only have a few good backlinks. They don't get much traffic.

I would buy a backlink on that site *if* they were posting regular content and growing their social media. Sites that are low traffic, but regularly produce quality content are great. You can usually secure links on them for dirt cheap and eventually benefit from their juice when the site grows.

Sharing someone website is not really a good thing OP

websites to get a link from: any site except:
hacked, spammed, illegal, unacceptable niche (say porn), unindexed, at risk of lawsuit like dmca, very bad onpage SEO.
if none of the above then: yes.

Link building in 2018 is like "Niche, OMG I want niche related"
So, if its niche related than why not ?

Why people are saying that it's bad getting links from porn sites? Shouldn't we say getting links from sites in irrelevant niches? Porn is niche in itself ... and if you run porn empire then you need links from porn sites.

OP, it's not worth getting link. It's better to do social campaign, that link might have no effect at all for your site's SEO.

lol where did I say it is bad to get links from porn sites?

unacceptable just means...unacceptable, and then I said: "say porn".
So if I have a gambling site, I don't want unacceptable niches, and this could include porn.
Now if I have a dating site, I dont want unacceptable niches, and this could include gambling.
Now if I have a banking site, I dont want unacceptable niches, and this could include dating.

and no: unacceptable is not the same as irrelevant.
So if I have a gambling site, I could take irrelevant links such as from dating, but not unacceptable niches, such as porn.

Check the history of the domain. If it has a good history, go ahead with the website and build vast followers which is very useful for your money site in anyway.

I would contend it has very little SEO value. Social signals are not a ranking factor. However, if the site has a large social media following, and they agree to share your post on their social media account, then that could POTENTIALLY have huge benefits.
