i had a political niche expired twitter which was getting lots of mentions regularly.. and i helped me to rank a low competition keyword

They are good for nothing neither hurt your site. Better to get more followers related to your niche which will add more value, you will get some visitor atleast.

They are deleted willingly by their owners.
Banned ones, as far as I know, are not made available for re-registration. It would be to easy for spammers to get back in possession of your usernames.

1. As for expired tumblr accounts, with what email are you registering them? (gmail, mail.ru, ...)
2. how many accounts do you use per IP? Or are you using IFTTT directly with RSS to automate the content?
3. Do you simply put the link of the page you want to rank in the biography of your tumblr account or do you also add the link in some publications?
(this applies to twitter: you put the link in the biography simply or you publish several tweets and in some of them you put the link?)
4. Is it necessary that the niche / language of the tumblr is the same as that of your web page?
5. When you speak of PBN, do you mean that you simply register tumblr accounts, put the link and nothing else?

Ok I register 5 or 6 accounts per gmail and I use the same ip. I have a huge library of spun articles I use those for content. For this study I only put the links in the articles. You can also add them in the description. According to Matthew Woodard the niche doesnt matter. The articles though are niche related. As for twitter I tweet couple sentences put in my link.

Im not sure I have an expired twitter thats actually still linked to a website. I forgot how I tracked it down but I did. I cant imagine deleting my twitter account still linked to the homepage of my website. Im going to email the guy see whats up lol. I don't really want to give it back but I guess I would.
I remeber now I looked up its backlinks found the site
Its my opinion that a link on twitter is like a fb like but Im guessing

Social media never had any value for SEO and there has never been any evidence, including Google's patents, that Google valued these accounts. So no, they an old expried Twitter account has very little value. Especially because building engagement is the ULTIMATE in social media marketing and, even if you have 10s of thousands of followers, expired accounts have next to no engagement.

Even if you have twitter expired accounts from years ago? I think they have value, but only if they have good backlinks linking to that twitter account. I guess that it can work in this way:
backlinks from authority websites > twitter expired account > (your PBN) > your money site
Am I wrong?

If the account had a more follower base, you will get more traffic.

well you don't inherit the followers with an expired twitter. I believe well not just me but a lot of people more knowlegeable than me believe that social media, fb likes, twitter posts, instagram etc is calcualated in googles algorithm. However its a very small ranking factor. Exact keyword anchor backlinks still rule as the number one google ranking factor. This has always been the case. Google is trying to find other ways to rank websites but as of now backlinks still rule

Btw, I have a question: I found a few expired twitter accounts registered 9 years ago. If I register them today, can I sell them saying that they were created 9 years ago? I mean, they should be more valuable than the ones created yesterday

The age of your account starts when you register them.
Just like with expired domains.

08/15/2018 Ok i now have posted links on 20 tumblrs and senuke blasted about half of them. Its a wait and see game now for a bit

08/17/2018 Update no real upward movement according to google console however I have also thru a couple of the keyword phrases into my usual serp check with whatsmyserp.com which I have no affliation. Anyway I have been getting a dash for the two terms I have in there. Dash means not in top 100. Just now though" vps seo tools" ranking 30 Fantastic and "seo vps" ranking 84 wow ok I'm now going to add an over-blog or couple of weebleys for a little diversification and about 10 more tumblr this weekend. Then again we wait. so far its going great

08/20/2018 I added 2 tumblr accounts for a total of 22 and one over-blog Im dancing with google now wildly moving rankings I'll report back in a week or two but so far its been positive.
