Even if we made perfect AI or AI robot then it would be:
- very expensive
- if you bought it, you would need few bodyguards to take it out of home, and few in home as well lol
- it would be way too smart, since it could browse internet in 100+ threads, maybe even 1000s or 10000s (my pc can browse google on 500 threads max but thats also net speed), then it could find answer for anything in very quick time. it would know how to hack other people computers or how to construct bomb after just 5min of searching
- at some point it would get so smart that it could think we are harm and damage us

and many more reasons, its just too unreal to have this smart robot in your home that knows answer to anything lol

Can we make this - Yes
Is it harmful for Us - Yes.

Then why we are making it?
"Because that is what we do".

very expensive
Like all new technologies.

??? Are you talking about humanoid robot or AI? And why?

What you are talking about surely already exists.

at some point it would get so smart that it could think we are harm and damage us
Each new technology has a bad side.

You listed the problems that would occur if AI become a common thing. This is not a list of problems that will prevent it to happen.

If it can be made then it will be made. Expense is irrelevant, the cost of technology goes down over time and right now the wealthiest corporations in the world are investing in this technology. Yes it may well harm us, we have a knack for creating things that do.

what if AI hacked russians and bombed everything with atomic rockets?

It's inevitable. We just can't help ourselves.

I for one welcome our new AI overlords.

Theres a lot more to AI then you seem to have taken into consideration here. Unless its TRUE AI which develops without boundaries, regular AIs(current AIs) have a set of goals and limitations.

For example the Dota2 AI that beat pros in 1on1. It has goals for kills, getting good gear etc etc. Then it also has negative goals like dying, losing game etc. Its not like that AI could be applied in programming(without changing its goals etc).

True AI still seems very far away, but this kind of AI is very useful. It will in no doubt be huge.
