I think everday SEO is getting more competitive and in the end that is consider a war. If you think about it Google have some rules, if you follow them they are happy if they don't, then they penalize you or de-index you. I don't know if they shared this idea, however this is:

Run XRumer blasts on related and on the keywords you want to rank (in a white hat way) but on your competitors website. Run blasts until Google think they are trying to manipulate their own SERPs (when it's not true) and then Google will penalize them or de-index their site. This is a nasty tatic, however I hope it was useful.

Just an idea. Cheers

Note: this is not my main marketing strategy, I do it the White Hat way, this is just an idea.

stuff like this makes me sad.

Hey the affiliate commissions will go to feed someones mouth and I prefer it's me rather than my competition! In war, everything counts, the only thing that matters is winning. And come on, you are on black hat world.

If you prefer to be poor go to WF or DP, it's full of a bunch of ignorant ethical newbies.

Mighty strong words from a newbie such as yourself. How would you feel if some one used these tactics on you?

Personally, I'd feel as though it was all part of the game and play smarter. But then again, maybe that's just me.

Don't confuse newbie with post count. That's my only suggestion. Well, there are individuals that will not hestitate to do that and more. I will use that tatic in only cases I can't get there in a WH way.

A lot of people here are confused with the newbie or non newbie status because of the post count and I think it's non sense. I do believe there are people here with more than 100 posts and not making much money.

Yes, I agree there may be many people here with more than 100 posts not making any money at all. However, we are all here to learn and take it in stride. What you find on this site is supposed to be used as a supplement to your marketing, not the basis of its entirety. However, I feel you crossed the line by insinuating that non-direct attacking of competitors sites is something that you approve of or would do. That crosses even the most unethical lines, even in the blackhat world. That method is reserved as a last resort after you've tried everything else there possibly could be. But the way you put it across made it sound like you'd attack another site purely for fun. And using this method as a last resort shows how weak you truly are. Only pussies use that tactic and if you can't beat a legit site by using normal blackhat methods, then get out of the game because at that point this game isn't for you.

I second your thoughts. the no of posts has no correlation with the amount of money they are making !! .

I assume you never tried this.......

Most of the times these ideas backfire...and you wind up helping the competition.

If this was this easy, people would stop buying SEO services and buy the "ban this guy" service.

Ideas like this are essential. Why? Because they make it 100 times harder for google to penalise spam.

It would be quite easy for google to take better control of its serps if it could just instantly penalise spammy looking backlinks. However, it can't do this because legitimate sites might be a victim of what you're proposing.

As a result, Im better able to spam without an immediate penalty.

"just sad" more like very evil... haha.

Well, you know about people in yahoo groups tring to sabotage your yahoo answers posts... so why not this?

like I said, very evil though!

Hmmm...... sometime Hunters himself become victim:rolleyes:. so don't push this kind of act...

I don't know about this... Its one thing to game google for rank, but its another to punish others because you suck at gaming google for rank. There is plenty of traffic if you know what you are doing. I think tactics like these just get Black Hats fighting each other instead of making money. I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather make money than be in a "trash each other's work" fight. I also think that this BH community is more about helping each other succeed than making everyone fail.

First, it's business, not war.

Second, I'd suggest you'll learn the skills necessary to be successful yourself, instead of trying to bring a competitor down with methods you described, only because you don't have the same or better skills and/or diligence as your competitor.

And last, your remarks regarding the WF are simply ridiculous.

it really doesn't have an impact. Really, you're going to help your competition by doing so. Moreover, even if you build 100 backlinks a day google will not ban you. If it was so easy, everyone will be keen in beating the hell out of the competitors website rather than promoting one's own website.

PLUS ..

Google is smarter .. that's why it's the best .. and that's why we're depending on it for RANKS :D (or at least a majority of the people)

Anyone ever tried this method !

I have many threads discussing this topic , but no one told i got success hitting my competitor using this method !

Yes, please, do it to my site :)

I wouldn't do that to competition - first because of ethics and second because it can even get them more links :)

I am so glad may people feel this way. Im only on a blackhat forum for SEO purposes. I know the smart players here have a very strong understanding of the subject. I have learned a lot in my short time following this forum, all has been about self improvement.

Many come here looking for the easy way out. I suggest they should learn from a site like seomoz before considering BHW. If you cant hack it using whitehat techniques you will be very limited in your blackhat career.

taking "black hat" to the point of screwing the other little guy trying to build his business instead of just trying to overcome the "system" built by "the man" is just shooting yourself in the foot. Why worry about hurting your competitors when you can spend that time helping yourself?

I heard a story from a friend yesterday about attitudes like OP demonstrates. A man was given access to the book of destiny but only for a few minutes. As the man entered to improve his own destiny, he decided it would be fun to also hurt his enemies. He wasted the precious little time he had hurting his enemies and when his time was up the guardian genie carried him away from the book, never to return. He ended up with nothing, having the opportunity to sieze everything.

Don't be a moron like the man in the story. Build yourself up and worry less about trying to hurt whoever might be temporarily in front of you.
