How to properly move IG account to proxy?

I want to move my IG account from my phone to a proxy. This means that Instagram will recognize that the IP address used for my account suddenly changes. Should I let the account rest for a while or something like that? Or can I just immediately start posting content once the account is moved?

Unless the proxi is from the same country of the account and the one you've been logging in from, you're going to have to email verify it the first time. Then it would be safe to let it rest for a day or 2, or at least warm it up in the proxi with a few dozen actions per day for a week or so.
