What to do with bots hitting login.php?

So, the scenario is thus. I have hundreds of hits a day on web 2.0 login pages. I want to todo something with this junk traffic. I have so far echoed a javascript on the login.php to redirect these bots to YouTube. They don't seem to be registering on YouTube though. Any other cool things I can do with this junk traffic?

I thought about a coin hive timed miner for login. Any other suggestions for utilizing junk traffic? My ultimate goal is to trap them in a logic loop. I don't under stand how this stuff works yet though.

Well, that was my original plan I sent the bots down an Iframe hell of coinhive scripts. I didnt earn though. Not sure what sort of algorithm breaks it?

Google is pretty good at detecting bots, I wouldn't risk doing this.
Google could end up blacklisting the keywords and site you are getting them to search and move your link further down the search results since it might view it as spam.

What type of bots are these?
Is it a botnet being run from PCs or a bunch of PHP scripts on different servers or are you running them from your own computer through proxies?

Whatever dumb bots they all use. I don't know. I can write smarter bots then these dumasses.

Gotta be something todo to make $ off these.

This isn't something new but it's endless. I've installed limit login attempts and other various login blockers. I've set those plugins to maximum lengths and bans. Pretty much across any server, on any site that I operate or look at. I've installed and used wordpress for ease of use. Editing htaccess files and messing around isn't what I signed on for.
Do people here just accept that their stats are junk and unreliable? That there is no realistic tracking of humans vs bots trying to hack wordpress? I'm not sure if I'm giving up, but even limit login attempts can't deal with all the IPs. Essentially it sucks like the rest of them. I would appreciate an opinions on this. People who criticize or even mock wordpress have good ground to do so.

Leave the idea of making money with those bots. Fyi they aren't browsing the login page in a browser like a normal user. Thats why js mining or popads or anything like that will not work. They send requests from server.
