Changing Type Of Content You Post - Good or Bad?

Hey all,

Almost two weeks ago I bought an instagram account from someone in the forums - great account, heaps of engagement and very happy with it.

I've got some insights now and by the looks of it there's 91% men and 9% women.
The account has 32k followers and mostly hot/fit women. Most are guys just commenting and liking the content saying hot or sexy. Each post gets around 3k likes.

Anyway, I want to change the type of content I post to more fitness type motivation for both men and women. I'm even considering changing the name as well.

Has anyone done this before - what happened if so?
Good idea or bad idea?

You can try with a single post and see how much engagement you get. I've seen some niche profiles (botted) that sometimes upload a wrong image by mistake and they get almost nothing. But I guess if you go into fitness motivation showing women's picture it could work. I'd say just try

Yeah I actually done something similar and uploaded by mistake and it got half the engagement.

I might slowly introduce some new types of posts either that or try monetize how it is - all I can think of doing at the moment is send them to some kind of dating offer for single guys. Most of the engagement I get are from guys thinking the women I post will chat to them.

You can answer that by yourself actually. If you are a guy following an account for some booty and the accout starts to post fit guys...will you interact? Not really. If you change the theme you will experience a engagement drop. Maybe even a massive one.

I am in the art niche. If I even slightly deviate I will get a fraction of my engagement (1/3 - 1/5)
People can be picky af. I have a post that defines my 'style' that had 20% engagement. A recent post in another style has like 4%. Be careful.

Yup can gradually change, but not instantly
I'd your aim is to make some money with it, I'll suggest you post things related to men like the general men niche because you have 91% men which is huge

Thanks Victor, definitely want to make some coin with it. I’m thinking I might have to just keep posting the same content and get them to a dating or chat offer.

You try to post two deviating content a week. Try it for a month and see the stats.
