How broad should the niche be?

I'm starting a few niche sites. Music isn't my niche, I just use this as an example - but shall I create gettickets.com and take use of internal pages for example gettickets.com/rock or gettickets.com/house - or shall I create seperate sites as for example rockmusic.com and housemusic.com?

I understand that it gets easier building the link profile when having one domain, is there anything else to consider? How spesific shall the niche be?

The more targeted niche,more likely you will succeed and less work i would say also less audience to target and vice versa for broad.

No, since if I go with the second example I would create a site for each niche instead of a subpage. I intend to rank for the same keywords.

You should go with 1 big site. It will make your ranking campaigns easier (through things like internal linking, age), and you'll save time + money.

I intend to rank for the same keywords.

If you're ranking the same keywords for multiple pages, then stick with one site, otherwise you'll only be diluting your SEO efforts.

If you do choose to go with separate sites, stick with longtail keywords specific to that niche, and don't bother going after the high-competition general keywords.

So generally for google insurances.com/dog will have the exact same capabilities to rank first with the same (or less due to da) then doginsursnces.com for example?

All other factors being equal, yes, there would be no perceivable difference. Or if you think you might eventually expand into other niches, you could go with yourbrand.com/doginsurances and have the same effective ranking ability.

Thank you. It’s a niche project though and so I think having some of the keyword in the link would help with CTR but I get the idea. Thank you very much!
