Welcome to G-Silos Youtube Backlinks, a smart way to use the power of Google to IMPRESS Google and YouTube (all will become clear shortly).
Consider sending all your Bam Bam links to a single Google Doc. i.e. Slides, Cloud etc. etc. all pointing to and embedded on a single content rich Google Doc.which in turn points to a Google Site. That site then sends a super powerful backlink to your video, playlist and channel and avoids you sending too many links straight to your video. It's similar to the way you would send backlinks to a Blog using a Web 2.0 site as a buffer. https://www.mindomo.com/mindmap/buffer-stack-4d002c4755f84e24bdf150ed7fbba935 for example.
BEAR IN MIND, FOR EVERYTHING BELOW, YOU CAN DO ALL THIS FROM SEPARATE GMAIL ACCOUNTS BUT...
IF YOU WANT TO USE THESE METHODS THEN YOU CAN CREATE YOUR GOOGLE PROPERTIES & SILOS VIA A SEPARATE GMAIL ACCOUNT(S)!
Personally I am happy creating the backlinks to my Videos and Channel via the same Google Account. You, of course can do what you think is best for you and your marketing. I have NOT tested using multiple Google Accounts.
HERE’S THE THING…
I think we all know that Google owns YouTube. That’s why, generally, the only videos that show up in Google search results are YouTube videos.
So Google favors YouTube videos in their search results- that’s kind of a given.
But what about all the other properties that Google own or control? Doesn’t it make sense that they would favor backlinks from these properties in the same way?
For example https://www.blogger.com/ - Google’s free blogging platform
Or properties like:
Are some of those new to you? Maybe yes, maybe no but understand that it’s using the power of these Google Properties that will help us rank our videos higher with smarter backlinks.
Also we’ll be using the YouTube URL Variation Tool and the Bam Bam RSS Plugin (optional) to mix it up and create even more smart Backlinks via RSS Feeds.
Also we can use the Buyer Intent Generator Tool inside Tube Commandments to add more relevant, search term related content to our Google Properties.
Also the two newly added Tools: YouTube Timed URL Generator and the Goo.gl Shortener Tool
Or even add a search term to https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner to get related Search Terms ( copy and paste them to your Google Docs and Sheets etc.) - or use the Search Focus Software that you received with your Tube Commandments purchase to add content to your Google Properties.
Copy and Paste the results into a Google Property OR the Comments section of those properties where available!
In fact the way that you can mix all this up is mind boggling once you get your head around the possibilities! They are kind of endless once you discover and understand this backlinking Rabbit Hole!
All the more reason to create a Doc. or Google Sheet to keep track of all the Properties and Feeds you will be creating otherwise it can get a tad overwhelming!
SO WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?
Let’s say we’ve just uploaded a cool video.
Is it ranking?
Yes = Cool - nothing more to do other than check in once in awhile.
No = Give it a few days - Google and YouTube do a ‘dance’ for a few days and your video may jump about all over the results!
If after a few days it seems to be stuck on page 2, 3 or lower we need some Backlink Love!
[ NOTE: Understand that if your video is superbly optimized, as laid out in Tube Commandments, this may not be necessary. This is for High Competition rankings when you are struggling to compete]
SO let’s start using these Google Properties ( see videos in main training area which make it clearer than a text document can do but let’s sum it up here):
https://www.blogger.com/
This is the most simple of backlinks, pretty common knowledge. Create a Blogger blog around your niche, embed your videos add some curated content ( See Alerts below). You can even embed the RSS feed from your YouTube Channel which is pretty cool...
Use https://www.powr.io/tutorials/how-to-add-rss-feed-widget-to-your-blogger-site?app_slug=rss-feed&platform=blogger&platform_type=plugin and see instructions on how to add a ‘Gadget’ to populate your optimized Blogger Blog with relevant curated content snippets from RSS Feeds ( obviously these would be niche related). Full instructions https://www.powr.io/tutorials/how-to-add-rss-feed-widget-to-your-blogger-site?app_slug=rss-feed&platform=blogger&platform_type=plugin.
Choose the RSS Feed option and have your YouTube Channel RSS Feed - or any feed - show up, nicely formatted, in your Blogger Blog (or Blogs!)
To get the RSS Feed for your blog simply copy the Home Page url of your Blogger site and add it to https://feedburner.google.com/ and make a note of the feed in a document or spreadsheet to keep track of all your urls.
Your YouTube Channel feed would be something like this:
https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UCv7rHHYJyvmB2fcFgi2sPSg
Replace the long ID at the end of this URL i.e. UCv7rHHYJyvmB2fcFgi2sPSg
with your own Channel ID. Find your Channel Identifier by going to your Channel’s Home Page and copying the long ID:
Once you have your own unique Channel RSS Feed ( as per url format above) go to https://feedburner.com/ and add it to get a Feedburner RSS Feed for your channel too.
NOTE: Your Playlists have RSS Feeds too!
In fact add all your RSS Feeds, or RSS Feed Mashups to Feedburner.
Then submit them to sites like:
OR you could use an https://ifttt.com/applets/223669p-rss-to-blogger - not as nifty but it’s another option for you.
https://sites.google.com/
Same as above (kinda!). This can be fully developed sites or just a page with your video embedded, along with the description or the script/closed captions.
BUT the cool thing with the ‘new’ Google Sites is that it’s ‘one click’ simple to add all the other Google Properties that I’ll be talking about shortly to create a kind of G SILO!
So set up an optimized Google Site now embed your video(s) and come back to it later to add links to all the cool stuff you are going to do as we move on.
[ Re RSS content straight to Google Sites i.e. curated content: Now you used to be able to do the same, as in Blogger above, with Powr.io (above) and Google Sites but since Google Sites updated to their ‘new’ version I don’t think you can unless you use or already have a Site using the ‘classic style’ option ]
https://plus.google.com/
Same as above. Every YouTube Channel is automatically given a G+ Page so use it! Embed your video, link to your channel! You will have your personal G+ page too of course. We will address smart G+ RSS options later.
https://www.google.com/alerts
Type your niche related search term into https://www.google.com/alerts and receive a daily/weekly synopsis of related content. Use inside your Web 2.0 properties. Adding content in this way - a snippet followed by a link to the original source is NOT seen as duplicated content. Also use https://news.google.com/.
The point being, whatever option you choose, manual or automated, is to keep your Blogger Blog updated with relevant content on an ongoing basis. If you can do that in an automated fashion that has to be a good right?
PRETTY BASIC STUFF RIGHT BUT HERE’S WHERE IT GETS GOOD...
https://docs.google.com/
EXTRA TOOL: EMBED YOUTUBE VIDEOS INTO A GOOGLE DOC:
Using this https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/docutube/ejgghfpikoafgmcmlplhenanbeoljlpj you can embed a YouTube Video - albeit in a Pop-Up Window linked to from your Doc. Aesthetically this might not look great but it does the job.
Alternatively you can ‘insert’ a video into Google Slides, copy and paste the resulting ‘image’ into a Google Drawing and THEN import/insert the Google Drawing into your Google Doc! Walkthru video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6M8WSTkEns.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/
Same or similar to the above.
Once again you can add more content later.
Sheets and Docs are backlinking Power Houses!
Plus in Sheets you can import RSS Feeds complete with links and we’ll cover that in the final RSS Roundup Section and Video
https://www.google.com/slides/about/
My standard proviso applies at this point: Choose one ranking tactic from all those available in this training and then check your rankings.
Use a https://www.youtuberankchecker.net to do that. Just be aware that you can show up #1 on Google even if you are #3, #4, #5 in YouTube search i.e. the tool may rank you lower than #1 as it checks on YouTube.
Also use the free option of this Ranking Tool to track multiple videos using https://proranktracker.com/
If you are checking manually be sure you are logged out of Google for more accurate results.
Also note that your rankings will vary from country to country i.e. Google.com / Google UK / Google France etc.
If you are still not ranking high then add another Bam Bam tactic!
https://drawings.google.com/
https://plus.google.com/events
https://www.google.com/calendar
Similar to Events add your URL in the calendar, make a few dates with a different YouTube Variation url in the Description and be sure to set to Public
https://keep.google.com/
This is a strange one. It’s like your personal repository of stuff you have on Google. So add videos, Docs, Slides etc. Just enter the URL of the property as a ‘Note’ and you’re nearly done.
Get a goo.gl shortener link for each property and add each to the relevant Note.as a ‘Label’ use that to link to the original link. Create as many as you like. You can switch ‘labels’ for any ‘Note’ at any time too i.e. link directly to your video, link via a YT URL variation or a ‘Timed’ link URL or a Goo.gl shortener link.
For each Note click on the ‘more’ - 3 dot icon - under your link you have the option to also save the Note as a Google Doc. too. So many ways to link everything together!
https://www.google.com/mymaps
Be sure to use the https://www.google.com/mymaps option rather than the regular Google Maps as you get far more control and power.
You can ‘embed’ your video on this Google Property. Here’s how:
GOO.GL SHORTENER
DEAD! Google have taken this away
https://groups.google.com/
Easy to set up a Google Group related to your niche and linking back to your YouTube Channel.
Link to your videos or insert a video using Add a Reference and then add a Video,Google Doc/Sheet/Slide
Yowser!!! G-Silos or what?
https://cloud.google.com/
This is Google’s answer to Amazon’s S3 service - a place to upload your digital stuff and only pay when it is accessed by a lot of traffic. So while most people would and do use it as they would a site like DropBox we are going to use it as a super High Authority Backlinking source.
Heck you could even host a simple HTML website in the Google Cloud and that’s what we are going to do - upload a one page site complete with search term related content, an optimized image (your video thumbnail perhaps?) and your video embedded!
Once your free account is set up create a ‘bucket’ - think of that as being like a Folder or Directory that you would create on your regular website hosting account.
Name the bucket with the search term you want to rank your video for.
Upload your one page HTML page - name it as anything you want e.g. index.html, searchterm.html - to that bucket and be sure to set the bucket and it’s content to be Public by ticking the ‘Share publicly’ box.
As you are uploading an HTML page you can SEO that page using a Meta Title and Description too. I use the free HTML Creator http://www.kompozer.net/ but any WYSIWYG HTML Editor will do.
The links you create here are High Authority, ‘Do Follow’ backlinks to your video and of course you can use Social Bookmarking links to this HTML page too.
Add the link to your new Google Cloud page on your G+ Page and other Google Properties you have created to be sure it is indexed by Google quickly and it will also become part of a silo.
Of course you can link to some of your Google profiles from your Google Cloud page too of course!
So can you see that once you have your optimized properties in place that you can go back and add links from one property to the next creating Google Silos?
Use YouTube URL Variations Tool, once you have set up some RSS Feeds add those too!
There are endless variations on how you set this all up so it’s up to you, but mix it up with textual content, related search terms. Link out to other Authority Sites in your niche too.
My aim has been to open your eyes to the possibilities!
The cool thing is that, for the most part, other video marketers looking to ‘reverse engineer’ your high rankings will NOT be able to see what you are doing.
RSS ROUNDUP
For those of you new to RSS I think the best way forward, as we are focusing on Google Properties is to create an RSS Feed for your main G+ page using https://gplusrss.com/
Once you have done that, you will now be logged in, you can add a new G+ page feed e.g. the one associated with your new Channel which is not necessarily the same as your main personal channel and your personal G+ page.
To find the info you need to do this: go to the YouTube channel you want to promote inside Google and go to the associated G+ page via your icon top right of the screen. In your browser copy the long number (Profile ID) at the end of the url/
Something like: 117089783490604793402
In https://gplusrss.com/ add that and get the RSS feed for the G+ page associated with your channel that you can propagate elsewhere on sites like https://pingler.com/ , http://www.feedage.com/ etc.
Once you have the option to create RSS Feeds for all your Google Properties then this takes you to the next higher level of SEO rankings.
Feedburner has been around for years but Google bought it a few years back which to me is very telling and why we should use it to increase our SEO juice to our videos.
Here’s how I use https://feedburner.google.com/:
And many more.
The point is that there is no end to the permutations!
Turn multiple RSS Feeds into a single RSS Feed? Use sites like:
So if you added a RSS Feed to your a Google Sheet would that be a good thing? I sure think so!
Here’s how to do that:
Copy and paste this text into a text doc:
=ImportFeed("XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX")
Replace the XXXXXX bit with the http:// address of your RSS Feed
Copy again and paste into the first column, first cell of your Google Sheet and hit enter.
This will populate the first 4 columns with the Feed details including links.
Want to add another feed the the same sheet go to the fifth column ’E’ and repeat the process. Your Channel Feed, Blog Feed whatever you want. Add another? Go to Column ‘I’ and so on.
THE PLUGIN
The Bam Bam RSS Plugin works smarter and faster…
The Bam Bam RSS plug-in is a WordPress plugin that allows you to take any set of URLs and create a self-hosted RSS feed that you can then send to https://feedburner.google.com/, and by doing so embed on any site or Google Sheet.
NOTE: I strongly suggest installing the plugin on a fresh WordPress install to avoid potential plugin clashes. Please do NOT use the plugin unless you are OK with that! It is easy to install WordPress in a sub directory of your site.
To use with Bam Bam Backlinks, you will need to collect the URLs from the various Google properties created in the steps above. You also need the Keywords/Search Terms you are targeting. Add a Feed ‘description’ and ‘search terms’. The plugin will create the RSS feed You can also add in ANY other URL you want indexed. High Authority sites makes sense to me!
NOTE: Do not include your Google Slides URL! For some reason it screws up RSS Feeds
Take all the ‘Mashup’ RSS Feeds that you create with the plugin and run them through FeedBurner.com and then embed on your other Google Properties e.g. Sheets/Blogger/G.Sites
Re taking ALL the RSS Feeds you have created and turn them into ONE RSS Feed also try using http://chimpfeedr.com/ - this RSS rabbit hole goes on and on!
But the point is this, what you have to take away from all of the above:
“You do not have to do everything at once!”
Take your time, add links when you need them. Relax! If you are not on page #1 immediately you will be soon! Slow but sure wins the race.

- Open a Google Document and name it with your search term or one closely related
- Paste in your YouTube Description but preferably your video’s script or some related text
- Use the YT Url Variation Tool and paste in those 80+ urls. Make them all clickable. You can find more YT url variations but I’m happy using 50 -80
- Need more? Use the YouTube Timed URL Tool inside Tube Commandments membership area or via the Bam Bam video training page
- You can add more content later if you choose - for example the Buyer Intent Search Terms that you generated using the tool inside Tube Commandments or via the Bam Bam video training page
- In the ‘Comments’ option (top right, and which features in many other Google Properties) add more related textual content and links to Authority sites and links to your other Google properties for this campaign. You can ‘Keyword/Link’ stuff here if you choose - personally I believe in restraint
- Click File > Publish to the Web
- Top right click share and make sure it’s set to ‘Anyone with the link can view’
- ALTERNATIVELY: Create a new Google Doc. or copy an existing one.
- Using the tools in Tube Commandments in tandem is cool!

Same or similar to the above.
Once again you can add more content later.
Sheets and Docs are backlinking Power Houses!
Plus in Sheets you can import RSS Feeds complete with links and we’ll cover that in the final RSS Roundup Section and Video
https://www.google.com/slides/about/
- Create a few slides. Maybe use your script, or part of it to do that. Images as well - up to you how much work you want to put in
- Have your search term, or YouTube video Title in one, a related research in another etc.
- Highlight those terms and link back to your video ( use some YT Url Variations too) click Insert > Link and add link
- Chose another slide, say slide 2. In this one click Insert > Video and search for your video on YouTube. Once found click on it and the video will be embedded in the slide. Or you have a choose by URL option in the second Tab
- You could add your video thumbnail Insert > Image and link that to your video too
- Use the Comments section to add more search term related content - links as well
- Comment on your comments!
- Click File > Publish to the Web
- Top right click share and make sure it’s set to ‘Anyone with the link can view’
- Title your Drawing with a ‘Related Search Term’ or your YouTube Title
- Add some descriptive text too
- Use your YouTube Thumbnail perhaps?
- Link to your video
- Use similarly to Google Slides i.e use the Comments Tab option to add more related content and links. How about a link to your Playlist?
- Click File > Publish to the Web
- Top right click share and make sure it’s set to ‘Anyone with the link can view’
https://plus.google.com/events
- Open Google+.
- Click Menu Events.
- In the top right, click Create Event.
- In the "Event title" field, type the name of your event.
- In the "Date" and "Time" fields, select the date and start time of your event. …
- In the "Location" field, type the address your event will be held at - any location will do
- In “Details”: add some descriptive text and your YouTube URL
- In ‘Event Options’ top right, click on advanced for more places to add urls
https://www.google.com/calendar
Similar to Events add your URL in the calendar, make a few dates with a different YouTube Variation url in the Description and be sure to set to Public

Here’s how:
- Firstly create a New Map
- Give it a Title and Description
- Next 'Add layer' and from here you can link to your other related Google Properties
- Now you see your 'Map' and a map marker 'icon'.
- Click on the icon.
- Look for the Camera icon at the bottom of that pop-up.
- In the pop-up that you see click 'More' to have the option to embed your video
- Add your video url!
- Add some descriptive text underneath the video or in the Map description
- Save and DONE!
- Add more Maps too and do as above. Maybe link to other videos in a Playlist?

- I add the RSS feeds I created with the Bam Bam RSS Plugin - these are a ‘mash up’ of the Google Properties and related ‘authority’ sites in my niche which are stand alone links OR to create a unique Feedburner feed URL too
- I add my YouTube Channel feed, as mentioned earlier, to create a new Feedburner feed URL - plus my G+ Page feed. This is why you need to stay organised keeping a note of all your feeds and showing when you have created a FeedBurner Feed of them.
- Then I go and ‘ping’ those new feeds to sites like:
