Hey, i wanna direct adult traffic from twitter to affiliate offers. From what I've read a simple redirect with an URL shortener isn't enough to avoid being banned right? So i was thinking of using an url shortener which redirects to a free domain i own (or does it need to be a paid one?) which then shows a captcha which redirects to the offer on completion. That should be fine right? Or can I avoid using a captcha altogether?

I don't know much about Twitter but I think you don't have to avoid the captcha step!

I use the plugin “Pretty Link” on Wordpress so it shortens to my website and redirecting to your go-to link.

As far as I know you dont get banned for adult content. Captcha V3 could be an idea, V2 is a bad idea

The best would be to add in your robots.txt something like:
user-agent:*
Disallow: /redirect/

Then, wait a bit for googlebot to crawl robots.txt

Then, create a redirect from
yourdomain . com / redirect / social1 /

to
x . com / youraccount /

SInce nowadays, nofollow is just a hint, a disallow will protect you better. Don't worry if you see a warning in Google Search console, plenty of product review websites do this.
