As the title says, what type of backlinks should I focus on? My blog is 6 months old and it only ranks for my website name in 86 pos ( )

Is it totally clean from any type of backlinks? You may want to try tier-3 and social signals for a month or so (new ones daily, low quantity), see what happens and then begin adding backlinks (very, very slowly).

Don't buy like 30 PBN links to a fresh website, way too risky.

You can try to exchange links with someone with higher metrics, obviously this dosen't mean as much to them so it might be hard, but I've got friends who done this. Also, guest posting is totally free.

Stay focused while building links. Primarily try some directories where you can list your blog. Building links from random websites won't help you to get ranked. After that find the back links your competitors are having. Try to get back links from those website. You can take help of SEMRush to find out your competitors back links.

Tier 1 is the high quality backlinks from web 2.0, PBNs whereas tier 2 and 3 are low quality backlinks from lots of websites.

Avoid trying PBNs. They are risky. You can try blog comment or directory submission for tier 2
