Just a matter of time my friend.
IMHO that time should have been about 2-3 years ago. The amount of dispute fraud alone should have scared anyone off with a half a brain.

I remember I sold something on eBay to another country and paid a ton for good shipping. Of course the buyer said he didn't get it, and I lost out on nearly $1,000 even though I had proof I shipped it correctly. eBay is nearly dead... PayPal is next. Maybe they get bought out, but I hope they just close it.

The OP was using FnF payments habitually in clearly business situations, aged account in good standing or not. He got away with it this far, it's in PayPal's discretion to enforce their rules. As opposed to the ACTUAL scam and fraud PP pulls by earning interest on funds sitting in a locked account for months, while the user makes no money? The point the OP was making was that, given an excellent history across several years, with almost no disputes, and with real documents produced upon request, there is no good reason why an account should be so swiftly and permanently closed, with the user left locked out of thousands of bucks for six months with no recourse. This is why people blame and rage against Paypal. In this case, they are to blame.
They are also improving a lot of features like faster bank withdrawals for individuals .The OP was using FnF payments habitually in clearly business situations, aged account in good standing or not. He got away with it this far, it's in PayPal's discretion to enforce their rules.
Holding money (especially without interest) is an entirely different thing and there are many occasions when users won against PayPal in court, there were multi-million dollar class action lawsuits against PayPal, which they lost.
PayPal did even shadier things, like illegally signing up tens of thousands of users for unwanted credit, which costed PayPal 25 million USD in a settlement. lol
Just because they close down a few accounts here and there, everyday people won't stop using it for buying and until everyday people won't stop using it, sites need to offer it as a way of payment.
The thing is that no matter how some people would love to see PayPal burn, it just won't happen. It's only growing stronger and stronger, by 2020 when they cut ties with eBay, they won't even miss it much, but i guess eBay still need to keep it as an option unless they want to sacrifice a huge chunk of their profit. In the mean time PayPal will struck a few other deals with big companies like Disney this year and they will give less and less fucks about individual sellers, whether they live or die. Big corporates, big profit, less headaches, less risk. Isn't it obvious? We focus on big corporate partners, big sites, so we will depend less and less on individual sellers. We think this or that seller poses a risk, we close the account without thinking twice.
The penetration of PayPal wasn't too great in my country at online retailers, but this year i noticed that more and more site accept it. Seems like they're expanding here too.
Do these diagrams draw the picture of a dying company?

Although i would be curious how much of their profit come from individual sellers vs. big sites.
So Paypal decided to close my account after 5 years . Here you go !
It started yesterday when I tried to pay someone , I usually ask freelancers to do the work and pay them after they're done, the payment is done using F&F sending type (70% of the times), Yesterday Paypal decided to limit the account and ask for further information (ID, address and the rest of their bullshit).
I uploaded quickly everything they asked for (real information and details) and got to sleep. Today I woke up and wanted to follow up with them over phone. 5 minutes Right after I ended the call, I recieved an email saying the the appeal is rejected and the account will be closed. Spoiler alert : $7500 blocked for 180 days (Hurray !)
Before some of you keyboard warriors start to jump in, I'm not selling any prohibited items, The details are real, and in the last 200 transactions only had 1 refund (which I won, because the buyer canceld it) So yeah , I concider myself quite a nice boy when it comes to paypal.
I'm not looking for a solution since I know for a fact that this decision is final (I got to talk with an executive over the phone) or an alternative (I have a merchant account), this is for the ones that are using Paypal as their only payment processor. As you can see here, my activity was always stable and correct using their platform but still, "too much risk" , TMR my @ss when you know you didn't do anything,
So guys, don't put all your money in the same place, try to find alternatives since Paypal will let you down , (but Yuuzo, I've been workin with them since ages and nothing happens) , Yeah maybe, but so did I, and it happend finally.
I do believe Paypal is on the verge of going down, many marketers and freelancers are relying on it (yet getting dissapointed)and it's just a matter of time.[/QUOTE
Ouch this sucks man, I don't use PayPal at all.
This would be the F&F though! It's dodging fees for business terms. PayPal are fuckers like that!
XOOM is a PayPal service only.@yuuzokun I went on same situation before too. but it hold less amount not $7500 like you.
Well paypal sucks alot these days. Without any genuine reason they limit your account, suspend your account and you have nothing to do that time.
Now paypal started taking fees a lot, while receiving funds and while transferring funds to bank. so better to move with another. I am always prefer Xoom, it''s best and easy. Funds transferred directly to my bank account within an hour max.
So i can say you that use another way instead of pp.

I've heard about Xoom, correct me if I'm wrong, but people can't pay you with CC right ?
