I am familiar with “E-whoring,” however the other two terms, “Cookie Stuffing” and “PVA” are foreign to me. While it didn’t take much of a google search to become familiar with them, would it not be prevalent to briefly explain what these unethical and illegal activities are. I just believe it could save the forum mods, members, and newbies any confusion or headaches.

So here is what i found about eWhoring (For those of us who don't know):

eWhoring is a black hat technique for making money. Basically what you do it you pretend to be a girl in a chat room. Then you talk to guys and you ask them to sign up to your affiliate program, usually an adult affiliate program, and once they sign up you get paid.

So, the jist of “cookie stuffing” is this:

With cookie stuffing, while publisher X sends visitors to Amazon, a separate publisher actually gets credit — and hence money — for the sale. They do this by dropping multiple cookies after someone views a page or clicks on a single link. The hope is that dropping multiple cookies increases the chance that the person will go on to visit and buy from one of the commerce sites in question.

Soooo, basically it’s not only illegal but a d*ck move.

Here’s the jist on “PVA:”

Essentially, “PVA” means Phone Verified Account(s), and these accounts typically reside on Facebook. I believe the OP is referencing the black hat method of using fake PVA accounts to spam affiliate links, or access groups and other areas that are restricted to non-PVA accounts.

Why is this important? And why is it frowned upon?

Generally speaking, these accounts are either stolen from a real individual or set up with fake information as a “proxy” or “burner” account. These accounts and use of them permit a less than ethical marketer to spam their links without risking their personal account/email being banned. This causes issues for the entire industry, as it makes affiliate marketing look like a SCAM of sorts. Furthermore, it is a slap in the face(and wallet) to affiliate marketers that put in the proper time and effort to build their business.

Its still e-whoring, it does not matter whether you are an actual girl or not.

I have seen many posts here on BHW that people making money with CPA and pretending to be a girl who gives away NSFW pic or videos, so if that is allowed why not this?

Just Curious is the word E-Whoring banned in here or is the techniques used that are banned because you can see multiple very big posts if you spend 5 mins here that is considered e whoring according to the definition mentioned above by that guy
