Buying backlinks is a proven tacitc, that works very effectively for SEO, but it all depends on who you buy backlinks from and what they are selling. Buying cheap backlinks, comment backlinks, forum posts/signatrues, Web 2.0S and social bookmarks, will do little to nothing for your SEO.

Think about it in these terms, if they link you are buying can be easily bought by just anyone, without any wait time or the need for quality content to publish - then i would question the value of said backlink.

I would advice you approach high authority sites (or find a company that does it) to offer free content to the site in return for a backlink. High authority guest posting opportunities are a highly effective method of getting quality backlinks. You may also try "linkbait" articles - which would involve creating content on your own site that goes viral on social media and naturally obtains backlinks from high authority sites (which link to you naturally).

if you buy very selective link lists, that means no spam, no penalty sites then its good ofcourse to improve your ranking.

However I don't feel one should buy backlinks. But if you want to buy, don't buy cheap backlinks. Buy backlinks from high authority sites.

BHW is more than just buying backlinks. However if one is unable to rank his website on top in search engine pages, he has to buy backlinks.

Yes, but have realistic expectations about spending $ to rank high.

DA 40 guest posts are not worth $200, a lot of the sellers upsell way about their value.

@SEO Pearl has a well priced guest post list imo, not so much about everyone else that i went through. Content would be average for the price you paid for.

@Peter Ngo has a good package too, pretty much handhold you through the process if you're new.
