What If BTC Drop to 1K$?

What I do is irrelevant my friend, we're discussing the btc market not my personal choices.

It ain't irrelevant to the "btc haters don't put their money where their mouth is, contrary to btc proponents" assertion at all.

As for my argument, btc does not produce value. Maybe it's limited but that does not make it like gold, gold is useful in many areas and beside we can't make alt gold.

That's completely irrelevant as well, I never quoted anything from you that has to do with the above.

Maybe you should listen to a couple of Billionaires and what they were saying about Bitcoin instead of asking the layman. The market capitalization indicates in some manner that the currency is now too big to collapse (not that it cannot happen), by a measure of its own self, it will most likely survive. No one knows for sure (with any degree of certainty). Having said that, most agree the future is bright...who wants to make millions :)

I don't think Bitcoin will drop to $1000. But if it does, it will create a chain reaction. People will panic and will try to sell their digital currency. What are your guys prediction? Will the drop ever occur?

I thought of all the places on the internet, the people on BHW would understand the "value" that Bitcoin and some other crypto currencies have.
I mean, it's not rocket science, really.

You've come to this forum because you wanted to learn things that you can't learn by looking in the top 5 results on Google.
Maybe you've come here to learn some "black tactics" on how to make money online. Who knows, maybe you even come here to learn how to make money in grey zones or even black zones. In one way or the other, you're probably here because you wanted to play by other rules. Because you didn't like the current system and wanted a way out, an alternative way. Either by beating the system or by completely reinventing it.

But you can't see the value of Bitcoin? Really? It amazes me. Really does.

Let's not talk about Bitcoin price for a while, but let's talk about why the hell it exists. Bitcoin is an alternative currency in an alternative financial system. It's money that no one else can put your hands on, but you. The government has no say in Bitcoin. They can't freeze your funds. They can't inflate it by printing more dollar bills. They can't tax it if you want to transport all of it to another country. It gives people SO MUCH POWER that is mind blowing. But maybe you're just too used in just accepting what the government imposes to you that an alternative currency makes no sense in your mind?

"Oh man, I really love myself some dollar bills. Totally not manipulated. Super backed by gold-- I mean, by nothing. But hey, the federal reserve says it's great."

Top kek, mate.

And please, don't come here talking about centralized coins with one point of failure. Yeah, Ethereum is cool but 1) it doesn't aim to become money and 2) Vitalik has too much power and too much say on it. If somehow Ethereum becomes a threat to the power structure of the world he will be bent. I don't even understand why people here try to compare Bitcoin with Ethereum (in another way that is not price related).

^ this so very much.
Additionally, it is interesting as political-economic independent currency for weak countries.

I invested in BTC when it was at $2k and cashed out at $13k , Will Invest again if this happens though i doubt it will.

Exactly this.

Bitcoin proponents actually support their position with their money. For some reason, I don't see bitcoin haters running with their wallets in hand to short it. It's a mystery :p

Very mysterious and intriguing indeed.

Well stated.

Although it's kinda fun to chat about "BTC price" and "what ifs" lets actually discuss things happening beyond price.
Price reflects movements, but not many here that like to chat price are talking about said movements.

A better question, to be realistic about this thread, would've been what kind of things would need to happen for BTC to hit $1000 again?

The simple answer: A lot.

If "A lot" happened, then the choice of "what to do when it hits $1000" becomes entirely dependent on those things that happened.

Also, price doesn't matter for the "big players." Only profits (in their preferred currency/security of choice).

So if there is a $1000 BTC again, there will be good reason for it. Whether its reflective of its value (highly unlikely) or shaking other hands out for retail discounts & (more importantly) gaining control of the market. The price is nothing but a number to someone who knows what they're doing.

Chatting about "what if" is nothing more than office chatter, and we have plenty of threads about that already. Not many talk about this here yet (as far as I know). I'd hate to see people disregard this emerging market because of a perception painted from conversations (in part fueled with negativity) witnessed here... Although if that's the case, probably better to not touch this and leave this stuff with the smart people lol

Tons of people bought BTC when it was under $1k, It was under $1k for the majority of its existence.

Smart investors would have sold some at higher prices or even current prices to take out all the risk and just play with house money :)

I invested in Bitcoin when it was 50p and cashed out at 20k. Can't wait for Bitcoin to hit 50p again, so I can make more billions.

Hahah a whale? Wasn't prepared to see one here.

$1k! imagine that, i will keep buying at that level. right now it seems like the trend is to hodl....

Everyone saying to buy bitcoins if it will drop to $1000
what if it will never come up again?
