I'm not a pro marketer, I only run my own IG channel to promote my personal brand (fitness niche) and I just come here for the great info on Insta growth.

I have 30k followers and that's growing but slowly - by around 100-300 followers per week.

My content is all on point, I engage with followers and do as much manual following/unfollowing as I have time for.

I spend around $150 per week promoting IG posts and that's all my budget will stretch to.

So I can't see way to grow my channel faster other than automation.

But is it really worth it?

If my account got deleted after all the years I've spent crafting and growing it I'd be devastated.

I'm also seeing a lot of posts here where people say engagementand reach can be damaged by automation.

So I'm very nervous about it.

But ATM I feel like I'm behind the market as so many fitness channels have follower counts much higher than mine.

What would you do?

Advice please!

Automation hasn`t really did big changes to my account, at least to notice. If you do it really carefully, i doubt something bad will happen, for example i did got shadowbanned {my reach got lowered), but that wasn`t because of autoamtion, i did some other nasty stuff :D But after a week or so the shadowban disappeared it self, so still nothing much. I personally would start automation, but start carefully and if you want to be on safe side dont do more than 500 follows a day (my experience). As long as you`re not doing dumb sh*t, like auto dming, commenting, liking enormous amounts, your enagement or reach will not drop. It will help and you wont have to spend hours doing all that manually. P.S i suggest don`t do auto commenting, because that can be tricky.

Thanks @yuhboi good to hear.

Are you using Jarvee?
yes! it`s not that expensive, but i use it for free, just make new accounts and use the free trail ;D But i recommend just paying for it, there are many tutorials online on how to use jarvee n all that!

i think jarvee is the main tool for building instagram very fast... will give it a trial

Yeah it sucks. I have a few thousand less than you. Without botting I only get 15 followers a day. Its ridiculous. IG has either destroyed me or IG is just that hard to play if you are making your own content.

Heh! yeah @kantaenos, I know what you mean. It's kind of disheartening when you see the kind of growth some of the guys on here achieve just by reposting. But that's the game I guess! :-D

I've registered for my Jarvee trial and my finger is hovering over the button but I'm still hesitating!

How much danger is there to an account like mine (personal brand, all unique content) from running Jarvee from my home PC?

Still not entirely sure if it's worth the risk, I'd be so devastated to lose the account or get stuck with an engagement-killing shadowban.

Well, I took plunge - started Jarvee yestetday.

Just follow/unfollow and likes.

Too early to make any conclusions but I have seen a drop in engagement. IDK whether it's because of the botting yet tho, might just be a blip.

Followers up though. So carrying on for now.

Don't promote IG Posts, bad idea.

If you're looking for growth buy shoutouts from relevant big Fitness Niche pages promoting your content and providing traffic way more cost efficient and provides way more results that promoting Instagram Posts.

Personally I don't agree with promoting Instagram posts cause it doesn't really make them want to follow, but promoting on a Fitness page with 50k, 100k or even 1M the people following already have trust in the brand so it makes them more impulse to decisions such as following your account.

Let me know what you think, and if you try this.

Just keep going man!
I would suggest contacting other pages in your niche of same size and doing something together with them like live or shoutout for shoutout or anything creative you could come up with.
Also post more often as that will make you stand out in your audience. People will remember and visit more often.
Do daily live or stories. You can also start a site and write articles on your niche, something interesting and show it to your fans from stories and posts.

PS: *Hashtags*, these can significantly grow your potential reach.

Here are my few words, if I were you, I'd also be confuse whether to take risk or not, there is one other thing that you can do, which is making child accounts.
If I had my own brand, I'd create child accounts and redirect my new followers to my main account and I'd try my best to have no links between my main account and my child accounts not even the same laptop/pc. give it a try, if you think it'll be slow, try making hundreds of child accounts and then redirect, you'll be amazed to see results if manage correctly, also be careful and don't spam your instagram username a lot in dms if you think of doing it :)

Regards.

Thanks for the input, but yeah, I have tried this. It seemed to me the ones who do shoutouts used engaement groups and/or fake likes/followers.

So results for me where fake engagement and fake followers (actioned by them to make their service look real).

Just my experience, not saying it's universal (before anyone jumps on me), but that's why I'm choosing to promote posts instead.

And, honestly, when I look at the big fitness accounts it's clear to see which are more authentic and I don't see them doing paid shoutouts.

Thanks, doing all that already

Thanks @hassysheikh that's a really interesting idea. I have been thinking about that. It's a bit more complex than I ideally would like to get, but maybe...

I have accounts that are on 24/7 automation, they bring 50-100 users a day
The automation is not aggressive, so it doesn't raise red flags

You can use your current weekly budget to buy aged accounts with real users and use automation on them promoting your main account, or even not use any kind of automation, just promote the main account.

Thanks, interesting idea but sounds like a lot of work...?
