still wiki links are worth?

Personally, I haven't worked with wikis in years.

As far as I know, most sources are spammed out of proportion leaving this kind of link useless, or even harmful if you believe in negative SEO.

Depends too on who you are buying these from.

You mean wikipedia links, or just random wiki-type sites? Big difference.

Good point, I answered the OP thinking the question specifically was about Wikipedia !

Wikipedia links I would say yes, wiki links on the other hand no.

I remember when Wiki links (non wikipedia spammy links) were a huge fad back in like 2011. Google had them over-powered and you could really spam them and rank... I think ever since then people seem to think there is some magic left. But the truth is that no link type is "better" anymore, it's just about quality and relevance these days. Which is why it's so hard to spam.

Most of the crappy WIKI sites from 2012 have gone. Do your checks first. DA/PA, age, outbound links etc. There are a LOT of brilliant ones left.
The webmasters tend to be a lot more vigilant though and will ban spammy/crappy content posts and suspend accounts that are not used or abondoned a lot more than they did back in the day.
MY general rule is;
A good site is a good site regardless of platform. Stop thinking of platforms and instead think about the sites.

:)

To get actual link from Wikipedia is all depends on how strong your business brand visibility is! Does your business is like "IBM", But it is difficult.

Wiki links are good for tire link building.
Like I usually use wiki links to diversified the link profile.

I don't think he refers to Wikipedia.org links, but rather MediaWiki type of links that were a boom back in 2012.

They are worth it used properly still a lot of old things are working but they should be used with caution for example would work good with ranking a video which is pointing back to your website. Or avoiding mass quantity cause overdoing it rings the alarm

Yes, you are right, but for MediaWiki type of links need some business brand visibility to gain stable live link for a period of time, but in today's era everyone looks for the stable wiki links for lifetime or a period of time which is not possible for a newly started business, but yes these links are created for a short span of time.
