I have website which was ranked 1st page for main keywords for few months.

Ranked it with PBN as I believe.

I was earning a decent amount of money with Adsense in those days.

I was at top 3 positions for all my keywords and had over 10K other keywords ranked according to Ahrefs.

On 29th of May I lost all PBN links due to domain expire of seller's PBN.

On 1st of June my site dropped few positions down and 2 keywords dropped to 2nd page.

My earning dropped around 90%+

And PBN seller replaced the links with new ones. Also I did ordered few more PBN links for dropped keyword.

I was waiting this whole month but still couldn't see any improvement.

Ahfres shows now my site ranked for 6K keywords in total. Traffic dropped 1m to 50K per month

Will it take long time to get back my old positions? I'm asking this because it was at top rankings and suddenly dropped in one day. So why it is hard to get back old positions fast?

Wait for the links to kick in. Its shitty that the seller let the domains expire. Who sold you those links?

I dont know for sure, but how many PBN expired last month? If too many expire at the same time, how natural does it look, this is my question?

This is a very simple signal for google to monitor, and here this could be a trigger for unnatural links unfortunately; but this would depend how much % or your total RD expired at once?

Its going to take time, maybe there is some other reason? links echo for few months.

Lots of sellers don't renew their PBN domains. That's the truth. When i asked about that seller gave new PBN links from his new domains. As he responded to my question and gave a solution I cannot mention him in public.

Now I'm waiting for new links to kick in. But I don't know how long should I wait. It's really a pain in the ass.

Yea it could be some other reason but only thing I noticed is as soon as I lost all PBN links my site went to the hell in SERPs.

Now it's dancing in 2nd page for some KWs and 1st page for some KWs.

I only had 15 PBN links to my homepage and all 15 domains expired on 29th of May. Next day my site dropped in serp. Now seller gave another 15 links from new domains which are purchased in last month. They will expire in next year if seller doesn't remove them manually.

There is zero reason to not recover . It would not be easy to hit the top 3 again.

Can you name the PBN service seller?

You are thinking that domain has expired maybe it is a reason to drop your ranking! For getting back to your old position it will take some time.

till that.

If the domain has expired, is it available for anyone to register? If so, maybe you can grab them and rebuild it.

I think they are not available to purchase. They expired on 29th of May.
I asked the seller to renew domains and I will pay for them. But he didn't agree to that and said that they remove domains when they feel those domains not passing enough link juice for clients.
Btw I ordered PBN links on 2017 December and lost all on 2018 May :(

you should also update the content, work on improving onsite SEO and change the published date to today or something (if your site is on wordpress)

That sucks man! Just 6 months and links are already down. Clearly they were wrong as domains were passing enough juice for your site to rank so well.

I think the link juice these days, would need months to take effect, if they are of general (low-mid) quality. So if your seller has provided new PBN links, they could be in that region, and that was why you did not see immediate improvements in that aspect.
If you are able to see the old links, and since your PBN provider has mentioned that they have expired, maybe you can take the opportunity to register those sites for your own advantage instead?
Still, a very high mid-good quality PBN link would provide immediate SERP movement within 1 week, and when discovered, those are the keepers.

When I asked for domains he told me he is not able to renew them. Don't know why.
