I am working slowly committing mistakes and learning from it.

The main mistake will be to make it slowly. If you have a budget buy links from PBN's in the marketplace. Check your On-Page optimization and semantic core.
Six months for the website its good because you can buy a higher amount of backlinks. So do not waste time, create an optimization plan and DO IT!
