Sometimes Life Can't Get Much Better!

Every response I came up with for that were inappropriate and for that reason I gave myself a warning for inappropriate non verbal/written/expressed content.

What is funny is there are about 5 or 6 pedal boats on the lake - one even has a trolling motor attached to it. Aside from the exercise aspect they are very stable and great for fishing.

Can i get banned for inappropriate non verbal/written/expressed content??

BassTrackerBoats, it's time to organize a fishing party to your place, not even kidding.

Nice view, but admit mine looks good too :). And the most important of everything: no stress and no people ;).

I saw this from my back deck this AM.

We usually have 2 families of geese that swing by but there were a whole bunch more out in the water just sucking up the fresh air.

That's great! We don't have a lake in our backyard - but very happy to have a backyard with trees - kind of the woods feel. It's definatly my

quick recharge center. So what's for dinner now? Let me guess Gooose!

What part of Florida are you from?

We are in North Central Florida. Not near any cities most would have heard of and we did that on purpose as we wanted to retire in the most peaceful place we could find.

We are actually looking for a second home somewhere up north so that in the summers we can head there due to the heat down here.

We spent a bunch of money cutting down trees and branches that restricted our view. That area is not visible in the picture but if you were to go 25 feel left of the dock you could not see anything so we had trees removed and branches that were over hanging on the edge removed to give us a more expansive view.

Those Geese are pets and if I shot one to eat my wife would have me sleeping with the fishes.

I was born and raised in Atlanta. I'm about to sell my house up here and move down to Destin.

Nice view, man. May I ask, do you usually have problems with insects or just wild animals picking on you too often? Just curious.:D

@BassTrackerBoats did you happen to ride up and see the cooling towers fall most spectacularly?

We thought about it, or I did, as I used to have them as a bottled water customer in the 90's and thought it would be cool but the wife had to go up that way on Tuesday, and is actually going back up tomorrow, so she was not easily convinced.

Had to be cool to see though.

We get the occasional gator but they don't bother us and there is an otter family we see now and then in the lake. I've seen an opossum and we have seen raccoon tracks but the animals don't mess with us.

There is about 3 weeks a year where we have these horse flies that are brutal who come across the lake but that i short lived.

Spiders are all over the place as that is part of the cost of living on water but in general bugs and wild animals are not an issue.

I agree. I wish I would have been available Saturday morning for it. BUT. Most people who viewed the implosion were a couple miles away. The afternoon right before the implosion I snuck over to the St. John's Power Park and parked right across the street at the entrance to some wrecking yard and snapped a pretty close shot.

Then did the same Sunday morning. Looked like some trippy David Copperfield work.

The simple things in life are usually the most rewarding if you take the time to look closely and enjoy them.

I currently have 200 geese here in Canada but not a view like that ;)
