Google Manual Penalty! The Horror...

Hello experts,
First, I thank you for your great support and advice always and really you guys make me visit this awesome platform times and again and I spend about 1hour everyday, learning new things.
Now, I am at a stake!
My site got a Manual Penalty today. [Ref: the screenshot].
All my keywords dropped to the 50-60th position from 1-3 positions!
I need your suggestions on how to recover it.
Please suggest an expert or if you have any prior experience with this kinda penalty and how did you recover it!

edit: OP sent me the site, I see 3 redirected (unrelated) sites to it; does anyone have experience with doing 3 redirects? I would not do it, but is it ok?

you have two options
or start all over again
or start a long and tedious process of eliminating links that G sees as unnatural
I took 5 years for my site to back
every 100 links that eliminated appeared another 100 new ones that were bad

Most importantly, make substantial changes to your site entirely, eliminate any possibility that a person in a manual review see the site as "spam, affiliate, copied or hidden content to generate clicks"
this will take time, the minimum may be 3 months

then you must apply to the reconsideration request:
1. you must explain to google everything you have done so far, you must upload each deleted site and each site you could not delete subscribe it in disavow. explain in detail everything you did wrong and everything you corrected
2. most likely the reconsideration will be rejected
3. resend a reconsideration request: only write: my site already complies with the guidelines of webmasters or already delete all the content that was penalized, please remove penalty <--- very simple and concrete
4. resend point 1
5. resend point 3

this sooner or later you should get to some google webmaster who really understands the situation, review it and see that it was not so serious

Recently I bought a package of .edu backlink [from a seller from this marketplace] and I got a manual penalty.
I don't know if this is the reason.

Two things you have to keep in mind -

1. This is a case of Schrodinger's Link
As such that unless Google let's the "real reason" out of the box. The .edu link is both the cause and not the cause of your penalty.

2. Correlation does not imply causation
Just because you purchased the .edu link and got a penalty after that, does not mean that it was the cause of the penalty.

However, your best bet is to disavow almost all purchased links that are spammy or low quality and leave at that.

If this wasn't a major project, you'd be better off with a new site.

your tier 1 links should look natural, not automated spun, not obvious pbn

what does your anchor text ratios look like ? ratio of follow/nofollow , how many links to each page and how many did you add recently ?

Exactly same happend to me today, just didn't get a message so I guess it wasn't a manual penalty.
Wierd thing is I didn't even touch the site for 6 months.

Seems like somethings going on. Lots of people posted that they got manual penalty since 2 days. What's happening

The easiest way would be to dump the domain and replace it with a new one. Alternatively, disavow links that are deemed spammy by Google. Its always important to build links to your sites carefully.

Well initially I thought it maybe happend because I just moved to HTTPS and had some tech problems, but today I got the messages.
Wierd thing is, while trying to fix some SSL errors, I added 4 versions of my website to WMT and also chose preferred version and boom - the day after I got the penalty message only to the HTTP versions of the site on WMT.

@akr007 and @nodyguy (and any anyone else who has gotten a manual penalty for specifically link building) -- If you PM me the domain(s) I'd be very interested to take a look.

For a while now, I've been wanting to analyze sites that have gotten manual penalties for link building, but have barely been able to find any sites that have gotten hit with these types of penalties. Would be glad to share any data/trends that I find with you and would of course keep your domain name private.

Yeah, they won't send you a message for each version of ur website, it's whatever they copy pasted but basically all version are hit
